What a fab evening in any possible way! The food was excellent, made with love, fine ingredients and nicely presented. The cocktails were delicious and a tasty surprise. The service was flawless and the upper room was very cosy and relaxed. It is definitely my favourite place to eat in Brighton.

We had an amazing opportunity of trying this place, and what an experience it was!The food was 10/10, great selection of starters and sides but the main course was just unbelievably outstanding, no surprise this place was filling up fast on a week day, make sure you make your reservations! Great food, very friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere! Highlight of our trip.

A delightful experience at the Coalshed. Amazing food, attentive service and delicious cocktails! If I were to nitpick, the downstairs area was a bit cool. Next time, and there will be a next time, I?d request a table upstairs.

Outstanding restaurant.We hired the private dining room for a Christmas works meal. It did not disappoint! Expertly prepared food,attentive staff and a well-curated wine list completed the perfect evening. Highly recommend!

Went here recently for date night and the food continues to be phenomenal. Service was absolutely amazing and staff were kind and engaging. They were also kind enough to make me a non alcoholic cocktail that was off menu.Everything tasted quality and the triple cooked chips are to die for! The miso chicken starter was impeccable!Dietary restrictions: Staff ask when you order if there are any diners with allergies etc

Absolutely fab night, arrived 2 hours late to my reservation as I'd messed up the time however was still able to be seated and served, and amazing service provided. High prices for a very good reason, a great place for me and my partners anniversary!

Was there for a birthday with my family. Had a superb window seat. Staff made us feel at ease , no pressure to turn us around and great food. The beef short rib is a definite repeat order for me. I look forward to seeing what they do in the new venue.

Perfect service, from the welcome to food. Quality steak. Quality truffle mac and cheese, lovely peppercorn sauce. Of course accompanied along with the chocolate mousse brownie dessert with passion fruit sauce. You pay for what you get, you pay well, but you get good food. So I?m a pleased customer, who will return. ???

We were in Brighton celebrating one of our 50th Birthdays, we booked Sunday lunch, I always worry that it won?t be as good as mine or my husbands?.how wrong was I !! The food was amazing, best roast I have had apart from my own, delicious, amazing beef, the cauliflower cheese was yummy, home made Yorkshire ( can I have the recipe!! ) Finished off with desserts to share, also delicious ?A brilliant find, lovely staff & great service?..highly recommend, hope to come back, will visit your restaurant in London soon xxxx

Starters were delicious! Highly recommend the miso chicken, pork belly and crab salad.Mains were a tad salty but overall well cooked. We had the lamb, sirloin steak and sea bass.Sides: onion rings ? too much batter; chips ? delicious; Mac and cheese? goodService was good; atmosphere was nice.

Fantastic restaurant, always great quality, wonderful service.... Best chips and gorgeous chocolate mousse and of course great great steaks. Lovely wines too..... Perfect!!

One of the best spontaneous decisions I've ever made, the food was unforgettable, every course was cooked to perfection.I highly recommend the Sea Bass, Pork Ribs and steak.Thank you guys for an amazing time.
