Should have gone to Specsavers.Whilst booking an appointment for an eye test I was asked for my phone number by a quite pompous aloof male assistant .You see I'm deaf and get quite disorientated and upset when I receive phone calls. I suppose only people with a hearing disability understand.I virtually pleaded with him not to contact me by phone. His attitude was quite dismissive.Of course I received a phone call which didn't even show where it came from.I googled it like you do and it was boots.I went in at the designated appointment time, told the sympathetic gentleman my story and refused the test.If they show a complete lack of empathy with my old disability I'm not going to allow them near my new one.

Took granddaughter in for eye test and staff were brilliant, so patient and reassuring. One male member of staff said he would give her a brownie if she did the test properly and he was as good as his word. Granddaughter was thrilled that he gave her a brownie. Staff continued to be patient and lovely in helping choose best frames.

I am originally a customer of Dolland. Been going since I was a teenager.Moving to boots opticians I have been so disappointed.3 times in four months I've been in to sort my prescription for contact lenses.Each time them upping and me telling them I can't see. Each time them refusing to take back old contact lenses that were issued as had to open them to use.This now has cost me over a hundred pounds.Finally last boxes the male working in boots agreed to take them back. Two months it took to get the new replacement ones. No refund. 4 times popping into sort.I suspended the lenses scheme went to specsavers and guess what? Yep total wrong prescription, so now moved everything to them.Went to cancel my scheme not that simple and you can't make a complaint as comes back to same person.So I now have 8 boxes of useless contact lenses.Awful service, customer service. Go to another opticians don't waste time, effort or money. Don't let them push you around adding extra expenses for no reason.

At the start of lock down I sat on my favourite Boots glasses and broke the frame . Walked into the store today and the lady fitted a new frame for £20 in 10 minutes . Then she made sure they sat straight in my wonky ears . I felt cared for. Every time I use Boots Opticians I come away happy and feeling like I?ve had a great service .

Went to boots opticians yesterday my glasses kept making a clicking noise. The girl behind the counter took them looked at them listen as well then said they was ok. When I got home I took them off to wash my hair they BROKE IN HALF. I'm very disappointed with boots.

I went to boots eastbourne optician last Sunday, having slept on my glasses . I was welcomed at reception desk by friendly smile from Demi, a lovely glhelpful girl who basically put glasses back together again, put new eye pads in old glasses. Checked when I last had eye test, wrote down make and number of a. Pair of frames I fancy for next time I need new glasses, explaining that if they werenâ??t still on display in eastbourne, another franchise boots may still have them if I still wanted them.
