Was happy with the van I bought until I got home and had a proper look at it to find the centre seat belt was broke, a reverse light bulb and side light bulb was out, I emailed the seller but have had no reply, just think the aftercare is very poor as they might only be minor, the van is supposed to be checked before being released

My experience with route 1 car sales was very good. I'm quite picky about my vehicles so went through it with a fine tooth comb before purchase and gave them a list of work to be completed before collection when I left a deposit. The majority of the work was completed and they gave me a discount on the vehicle cost for the other work, nothing major. They are used vehicles so some bumps in the road are to be expected but Paul is excellent at ironing them out. Recommended.

Unhelpful and unprofessional staff. So called service not carried correctly out and service light not extinguished. V5 never received and when I called to enquire a rude ignorant and clearly uneducated individual was aggressive and refused to help with my enquiry. On asking to speak with his manager he hung up on me.Do not use this garage if you want something other than low grade, over priced vehicles with no after sales service.

Bought a Connect from these cowboys last February that they had put new wheels on. It?s failed it?s MOT due to two wheel nuts being missing. They say they know nothing about new wheels but how did it pass the MOT they gave it last year? A dodgy MOT from Flimwell I would say. Avoid!

A strange review where despite being on the wrong end of a bad experience i kind of wish them well none the less.I called about a car advertised on the internet, asked if it was available and what condition it was in. The reply was positive and that there was a "couple of bits around bit nothing major" (direct quote, hence the misspelling of "but"). I handed over a deposit of £200 (was asked for just £150 but i was keen to show goodwill and commitment based on the responses I had received and so offered an extra £50). Further conversation with a really chatty and friendly guy did reveal some small welding work under the sill but nothing obvious or visible.Drove 3 hours from Warwick at considerable expense in time and fuel (but needed the car for transport) to collect the car. Upon arrival i noticed straight away that the "nothing major" issue was actually substantial welding work to BOTH sills which had then been badly spray painted with paint that didn't match - the work was so bad even the gentleman that met me was highly critical of the job that had been done and said "i would of sent it straight back to the garage if they did that to my car". Having seen the car and poor job i decided not go ahead and make the purchase. following the weekend i have been told that the deposit was non refundable, would not be returned and to "have a nice life".My issue is that had the question i asked regards the car's condition been answered honestly (the major welding jobs as opposed to nothing major) then i would not of made that deposit and certainly not driven a 6 hour round trip - this is a fact. Therefore, i do feel deceived and that the deposit was taken somewhat fraudulently and on less and than honourable or honest terms.THAT said, the garage did post pictures so i should of tried a lot harder to scrutinise them (though the welding work was hard to make out unless you knew what to look for - an option only open to me post deposit and upon viewing). The car was priced at a price to reflect the condition and i should of been more guarded, though i did ask the questions and was given misleading advice as to the scale of the work done, they DID mention the welding, just not how bad it was, had I of spoke to the man i met on the day and heard what he said in person over the phone two days prior then I would not of made the deposit or the trip! I did enjoy the time chatting to the man that day, he was pleasant and honest - alas the same cannot be applied to the whole experience. They would not even refund the £50 i over paid on good will.......So, i think i am being fair in trying to highlight both sides. Study all pictures really well, expect a degree of sales persons license when getting answers to questions and DO NOT make a deposit until you are absolutely sure and have ideally seen or driven the car.Despite my experience I am sure that plenty of people have had pleasant experiences here and the whole business should not be defined by single mishap. I will not see my deposit ever again (or the extra goodwill £50) and that is their decision - though i will continue to maintain that the deposit was secured somewhat deceptively and dishonourably through not being honest when asked and describing major welding work to which the man in person said was really bad as "nothing major"Had Route One said "look, before you drive all this way, we will send you some extra pictures of the welding work so your sure about making the deposit and the trip" this would of saved alot of hassle, been honest and fair.......... but then route one would not have £200 of my money for doing nothing other than not being totally honest and transparent!.You pays your money, you takes your chance......

Ford Ranger bought in August 2019 nothing but problems. Engine Management light covered under dash by masking tape to hide the fact it was permanently lit up.Service history book stamped showing full history when vehicle dosnt have original engine so service book not validVacuum hose to turbo deliberately cut as vehicle wasnt set up correctlyThe list seemed endless. Dealer agressive threatening refused refund but did agree to use another scrap vehicle as a donor for possible parts to get it sorted. Not very professional. Reported to Trading Standards and after 6 months of the not being able to use the Ranger I eventually had a refundRAC warranty sold with vehicle transpired to be invalid as vehicles problems were pre exsisting to purchaseOveral a complete nightmare purchase of a vehicle that looked amazing but was sold not fit for purpose. After 6 months of hassle Route One Car Sales refunded full money car returned not a pleasant journey!!! Avoid at all cost!
