Doom, gloomy, 4 members of staff. I walk in at half past three on a Sunday and literally their faces dropped. It was like.... why are you here ? Lol. Made us wait in an empty branch for 30 min and a lady named Emily might as well told us to leave . I've never experienced nothing like it. No wonder Metro is in the state they are in. Branches won't last when you have miserable forced employee working on a Sunday. Stick to online banks at least the AI bot responds when talked to u like Basildon Metro Pffft

If I have choice I will give them 0 not even 1 star. My experience with Metro bank, never bank with Them. They useless, no customer service, racist and lazy. Even the manager they useless and racist. I already close my metro account yesterday and open different bank account. My new bank is very good and helpful. You can compare straight away. Everyone please stay away from this bank. specifically the metro brand at Basildon. Terrible and I can?t believe it.

My experience with Metro bank, never bank with them. I was blocked for seven months no money at all for three months, I could not pay for anything. I took it to the Ombudsman and Metro bank lost their case. (NO APOLOGY) Disgusting bank.

Compared to a bank I won't name that still hasn't sent my son's card since August. We were a walk in. I let my 16 yr old open the account on his own. His every question was entertained professionally. Account opened, card printed and app set up within an hour. All done same day. Brilliant

Called Metro Bank regarding using their coin magic machine to see if non customers can use them, got the OK from the branch, drove the 10miles to the branch, paid £2 for parking, then on arrival was told non customers can't use the machine. Wasted hour. Poor service.

Although they was open on a Sunday the only had one cashier and waited 20 . This is not normal as a normally have more staff , and the coin counter was inoperative making the queue even longer as people had to wait interned for all the loose change to be verified .On the plus side the public convenience is now open again and it is exceedingly handy always clean .

Great experience, fantastic place, super and quick service from Jessica she was very friendly, even the Manager came and asked us about our whole experience , my 12 years old son loved his whole first experience to open his account in metro bank.

I have been with metro almost since it 1st opened, had no problems so far from opening my account, sorting out my online banking to getting cards cancelled & issued in the bank while you wait, "Excellent" no waiting for your pin & card to come through the post, takes approx 10 minutes to get your card & your off back to work/shopping or whatever your doing that day, & had no hassle with sorting out queries etc over the phone, staff are very polite & helpful, don't think i 've ever stood in a que for more than 2 mins & thats only been a couple of times, baffled as to why some are unhappy, must have been mistaken & gone into halifax to the miserable lot that keep ya waiting for 30 mins every visit, Thank you staff at the Basildon branch.
