Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was utterly disappointing. The room reeked of smoke, making it nearly unbearable to stay in. Woke up in the morning to realise that none of the sockets had electricity, leaving me with a 5% battery on my phone before a flight. The bathroom was a nightmare, seemingly untouched since the 60s, with minimal amenities like a single towel and cheap soap. Despite being just five minutes from the airport, the £26 Uber ride was quite overpriced, and the morning shuttle back to the airport cost £18. When factoring in all expenses, I ended up paying over £120 a night for what can only be described as the worst hotel experience of my life. Avoid at all costs

The place is well-located near to the airport, the parking area could improve, rooms are clean but could improve their furniture.

Will not stay here again. Stayed one night and parked car as travelling from Stansted.The room and hotel needs up dating and was very cold. No iron and board as website suggests. Toilet hadn't been cleaned around the base and bathroom dated and scuffy. Could hear the planes go over every 5 mins but did not experience this at the Holiday Inn. It is more than 5 mins away more like 15 and was given a number to call to collect us after our flight but it said not recognised! So had to get a taxi direct from the airport. Was not a good experience at all.

Worst place! Closed to stansted Airport, but you have 2 pay a taxi, 25 pounds, and afterwards shuttle back to the airport 15 more pounds + a room with 2 tinny little beds for only 1 person... 110 pounds for a noisy bedroom.. Terrific!!! Very rude lady at Reception, bar...

Worryingly cheap hotel near airport, lightly staffed friendly but struggling with little support. Reception and restaurant cold and in spite of extravagant quitzsch design soulless. Food bland and tasteless. Staff did their best but against the run of reality. If you get a good price, why not buy to be honest the not might win.

The only plus side was it was conviniently close to where im working. The rooms themselves were absolutly filthy! The guy at reception was nice enough, but he didnt care about the complaint. When we complained to reception and asked him to come up he said all the rooms were this dirty so there was no point in moving us. I understand its a cheap hotel, and was not expecting the Ritz, but i was expecting it to be at least clean! The one star is purely for location. Hotel its self is discusting!

Lady at the reception was very nice and that is all good I can say about this place.Everything there is dated. Furniture in my room was old and damaged. I was disgusted by the bathroom with old and dirty mirror, mould around bathtub, old and discoloured shower curtain and the hanger that wasn't even mounted properly. It is hard to describe it, but I didn't want to take a shower there at all.The gap between the floor and the main door in the room was so big that you could hear exactly what is happening at the corridor. Equally there could be no door at all.The room was very cold, and there is no way to regulate the temperature on the radiator (yes, there is no ac in the room). I was staying there 8 hours and never go back.As for the car park, they charge you for that too which I think it is cheeky give it is their land.If the charge would be £20 I wouldn't be even arguing, but for £55 a night, plus £6 car park charge, you would expect a better/decent standard.

I travel up and down the country and this one of my favourite places to stop off. Rooms are fantastic, staff are awesome great food and the bar is open if you wanted a drink. I usually just get a shower which are great here and get relaxed. Fully recommendRooms: Very good, for price overall fantastic.

I wouldn?t recommend to stay here ever! It was dirty. Thankgod I arrived late so I had to stay there just 7 hours. I slept with my covers off as I was scared of anything in that room touching me. The lady on reception was nice, but apart from that parking was a joke. Overall just bad and dirty rooms!

I am writing this review at 3.15am, while sitting in the reception area of the hotel.As I have a very early flight out this morning, I thought it would be a good idea to check in to a hotel near the airport... Choosing the De Salís hotel was my first mistake.The room was cold, very basic and dated and the bathroom didn't look like it had been properly cleaned.The restful night I was looking forward to before flying, did not materialise.A couple staying in the room next to mine decided to have a fight and proceded to take it in turns to lock each other out of the room... Accompanied by a lot of shouting and throwing objects in the room and the hallway.I was not able to alert the 24hr concierge as there was no concierge present at reception... Tried calling reception various times to alert the concierge of what was happening in room 29... The room adjacent to mine, but nobody ever answered the phone.So much for the 24hr concierge service.Needless to say that I will definitely not be staying in this hotel ever again and I most definitely will not recommend it to anyone else.I paid £58 for the room and an additional £15 for the shuttle... That was £73 too much!What I would like now is a written response from your customer service team and a complete refund.You should also have a look at your website and update it... What's on your website does not correspond with what's on offer in reality.I am not happy and not impressed with any aspects of the hotel.Marisa Pauwels

Ok for Stansted if you're returning a hire car in the morning. Too far otherwise. They asked for an extra £8 for overnight parking though it was included in Booking com's price. Room was OK bathroom clean.
