Brentwood is one of the few branches remaining openOne cash machine the one you canpayin has not worked for months. These are external machinesThe one lady has no cash sign for the second week.runningYes I can go to other machines but Barclays need to maintain their equipment and stop shutting branches.I work and it?s difficult to get in to the branch when it is openWe have a business account and two personal accounts and am seriously thinking of moving re the poor customer service

Counter service closes after 2pm. There is very little organisation when entering the branch. Staff often stand around looking aimless whilst the few experienced members are holding down the fort within the capacity they are allowed to. This new school banking and reliance on a couple of withdrawals machines is seriously concerning as a personal customer and business customer. Not all requests can be completed with a machine and I very much doubt that Barclays cannot afford to man one desk for two more hours per day. I have checked and it is noted in their branch page about counter service times, however, I feel that it?s seriously poor service and creates too many limitations. Very dissatisfying.

I have banked with Barclays, based at the Brentwood branch, for over 40 years and it is very sad to see this company becoming increasingly inefficient and with poor customer service. Everything I try to do, they place obstacles in the way. Most recently, I simply wanted to remove myself from a business bank account. It took letters, messages in App, and long wait phone call to do this simple task. I am still waiting on the phone right now, after 30mins, to try to get this done. In contrast, I set up a new business 3y ago with Starling and that bank is so easy and customer-friendly in comparison.

Very bad customer service .made me run around to open an account for more than 4 days . Everyday they asked for different requirements. Even asked me to wait for 2 weeks to get appointment to open an account. Eventually i visited 3 branches to open 1 account and was disappointed Worst ever bank experience. Finally got my work done with other bank . Bank lost 1 customer that's it.never recommend to anyone this bankthanks for wasting my time

Dreadful experience. Screens on machines in foyer are unviewable if you are <5ft 6 in tall. Joined long queue for sole open counter. After 25 minute wait told by wandering staff member that counter deals with cash only! No sign telling you this on entry...apparently it is on billboard at rear of branch. So further wasted time queuing to see staff member at side desk.This was 1pm....when people are calling in during their lunch break....1 counter...cash only...rubbish, rubbish....45 minutes of my life wasted.

The website DOES NOT tell you that the counters close at 2pm.You can then join the queue for a machine..pretty poor service.

Total disgrace, I had an appointment today today for 09:30, website and google said open. Even got a text message yesterday evening confirming appointment for today, woke up ridiculously early, drive for 45 mins, waited outside in the cold and rain. Had to call customer service which hung up first time, have to go through 201 robots before speaking to human, finally got through (surprise) to a human to say branch is shut but google hasn?t updated opening hours, customer service spoke to branch manager and apparently branch been shut on Saturdays for the month. WHY NOT TEXT THIS TO CUSTOMERS WHO HAS AN APPOINTMENT?! Wasted journey, car park, petrol and energy!

Shocking,Why shut a bank at 2:30pm on a Friday, you make obscene money keep banks open in the high st.When i arrive there a que of angry people, to make matters worse, an old guy has his card stuck in the machine on the right, the lady cant pay a cheque in on the left one, then when i when i use it, it takes my card!Thanks you Barclays for shutting your one redeeming feature your branches where people could help you!

Absolutely shocking who this branch is run.Saturday morning 8 people wanting outside at 9.50am and the banke should be open at 9.30am there is no one inside yet no info at the dore, people wanting outside.Do not use this branch.

Poor service , no counter staff , everybody waiting to pay into faulty machines , went to Santander polite and helpful maybe Barclays should follow this model of banking ?
