I ordered an item from John Lewis to be delivered to the Post office .They refused to accept the parcel because they had no room left to take any more parcels, which I find ridiculous. This was a present for my wife, and now it?s been sent back to John Lewis. Highly recommend you use alternative post office because the attitude is they couldn?t care less about customers.

Terrible service. Waited in a queue for 15 minutes to be refused change because they had ?tilled up? for the night (30 mins before close)

Avoid at all costs. Short staffed and closes early. Massive queues. Waited over half hour and was given wrong info. Had to go through the same process again but was sensible enough this time to go to another post office.

the worst service in the world literally, the slowest sales assistants I have ever experienced. Every time I come the waiting is never less than 30min and it doesn?t matter than I am usually the second in the queue! The queue after me is also saying the same thing! There is always 2 people on the shift but only one is serving!! Please get the manager to look into this as this is gets customers really frustrated.

There were 3 staff idling, waiting for clock out rather than providing any support and service towards end of the shift! If anyone could be a little help, we would have not wasted a journey!

The speed of service here is honestly laughable. Don?t know if they are sort staffed recently but if you come at the wrong time expect to be kept waiting a very long time.

Terrible service midday on a Monday. Staff helpful enough but long, long queue. Only the Bureau de Change windows staffed.I said all that 4 months ago....and guess what?.......its still dreadful. 2pm Thursday and another massive queue with just Bureau staffed.And another month later, 11am Thursday and another massive queue with only 2 windows open. USELESS SERVICE!My advice would be to find a local sub-postoffice if possible.And in August 2023, just 2 windows in Bureau open. 1 staffed by gum-chewing, uninterested woman who clearly was trained to be NOT customer-friendly.

Found this to be ?nearest to me? where i could renew my driving licence, opening hours are till 17:30, arrived 16:30 and they didn?t do it for me as I was too late for that service. Would be useful if that was said online so people didnt have to waste their time

I don't normally give just 2 starts but i feel there's never enough staff. I know a lot of people do things online (hermes, UPS etc) but some people do still like to use the post office for things!!! Maybe more staff are needed to help the over worked staff there. They are so friendly and do have some people who don't take into consideration that they can only go as fast as the people they are serving or as fast as the computer goes.

Worst town post office I?ve ever encountered. Severely understaffed. Average wait time in quiet part of the day is minimum 30 minutes per customer. At peak times I?ve given up after well over an hour of queueing. Also they randomly close and do not update opening times on the shopfront nor online.

I've been here a few times recently to post parcels, and have found the wait times to be minimal. The staff always friendly and welcoming.

Woefully understaffed and no self service machine so if you just want a receipt for a parcel you need to queue behind passport applications etc. Town this size should have a dedicated post office.
