Asda Opticians ..South Woodham Ferrer's.. Essex.Lovely staff..nothing was too much trouble...I didn't feel rushed...every step of purchasing new glasses was explained thoroughly...My glasses were ready for collection well within two weeks..and I'm so happy with them....will definitely be recommending to friends and family...Thank You !

ASDA opticians in South Woodham Ferrers have really impressed me recently, staff are very courteous and professional and very helpful and knowledgeable, I?ve always purchased my glasses from there and if I have any problems they sort them out straight away, I will continue to buy my glasses from Asda opticians in South Woodham and definitely recommend them

I took my 2 young children for their routine eye tests this week.From start to finish the whole experience was great! I was called the day before to remind me of my appointment, we were sent straight through when we turned up, the Optician was so lovely with the boys, really kind & patient. Would highly recommend ?

As with our last visit for my husbands test and new glasses, the girls front of house were very helpful and professional. As for the faceless optician himself, he enjoyed an extra teabreak rather than try to see if he could fit me in. I was almost 15 mins late, but was already in a state as my dog was poorly just before I left so was trying to sort an emergency vet apt.I'm a 56 year old disabled lady in a wheelchair so it was a struggle to get myself there after such a shock . He didn't even pop his head round the door to say sorry there wasn't anything he could do. Appalling customers service!

I HAVE A VERY DIFFICULT PRESCRIPTION. GLASSES NORMALLY COST ME A FORTUNE. MY DAUGHTER SAID TRY ASDA OPTICIANS SO I DID. THEY WERE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THIS WAS NOT AN EASY PRESCRIPTION BUT WOW WAS I IMPRESSED. MY GLASSES NEED CHANGING EVERY YEAR DUE TO DETERIORATION AND AFTER YEARS OF PAYING HUNDREDS OF POUNDS EACH TIME FOR MY LENS ASDA DID THE GLASSES AT QUARTER OF THE PRICE I NORMALLY PAY AND THEY ARE EXCELLENT I NOT ONLY GOT 1 PAIR BUT 2 FOR LESS THAN A THIRD FOR ONE PAIR. WELL DONE TO THE STAFF AT THE OPTICIANS ESPECCIALLY THE OPTICIAN

First time trying Asda Opticians and have to say I'm very impressed. Usually go to Specsavers but it is always so unorganised and staff either overbearing or just plain ignorant. The staff in Asda Woodham Ferrers were extremely nice and helpful and also friendly and chatty. Glasses are fine and so much cheaper than Specsavers. Will stay with Asda in future.

Contrary to other reviews, this is still here. It is hidden away inside the separate George shop, right at the very back. This is just outside the main ASDA. Good service and flat-rate prices that seem amazingly fair compared to all other high street opticians. All lenses whether single vision, bi-focal or varifocal cost the same and come with anti reflective and anti scratch as standard. If you have a complex prescription, this alone will save a small fortune. A few years ago ASDA decided to end the mad pricing structure of most opticians.Free, very close parking here too. Also, much easier to get an appointment than the far busier Basildon branch.I would advise checking out this hidden gem...
