This may just be my experience, but after an eye test I was told I needed three different pairs of glasses - reading, middle and distance - or varifocals. The varifocals I opted for were unsuitable because they were set more for middle and distance vision, despite my having emphasised I needed them more to replace my reading glasses than anything else. I was given a second eye test and told the first prescription was completely wrong but then three different members of staff seemed unable or unwilling to understand my point about reading and when the third 'expert' was called over she didn't even acknowledge my presence until she'd finished listening to her colleague. I don't think it matters if someone pays £7, £70 or - as in this case - £700 the customer should be acknowledged, listened to, and treated with a degree of respect for their opinions. By this time I had the distinct impression they thought they knew more about my needs than I did because they were the 'experts' and I was simply as a source of income so I asked for a refund and went to James Bryan instead.
