Not helpful with trying to get a new tumble dryer through Currys own insurance. Have a voucher from insurance will have to add to get a reasonable dryer then they want to charge me for delivery I have a van but they won't let me pick one up our insurance states they will deliver and take old one away shop says no ?

Ordered a console online and collected it the next day, was greeted with a polite young lad who helped and went to collect the console.Bought it to myself, tried a bit of upselling to insure it but I don't require insurance and that was that off I went. ?

Unfortunately this branch is my local store. I have been there 3-4 times in the last few years and the customer service does not exist. I made a mistake of ordering a sim free mobile phone from Currys website and i am extremely disappointed and annoyed with their terrible tactics to stop their customers returning items. I was returning the item only 10 days after buying the phone in a sealed package. It was an unwanted gift. I thought I did my homework by checking their online return policy before I purchased the phone on their website by clicking on:"I want a refund""I dont have an account""I changed my mind""fewer than 30 days""ordered online and delivered""small items""paid by debit/credit card".This gave me 2 options: either return it to store or send it to currys with DPD. I though t is best to return it to store to avoid having the mobile phone being damaged in transport and travelled to my nearest store in Chelmsford which was 45 mins aways. As this was an unwanted gift, I did not open the box and it was still sealed. They said they do not accept online returns in store! they told me i must be mistaken and I should have a return reference number in order to return it in store. The customer rep completed the online return form for me but would not take the return. I was told to go to nearest DPD shop to post it to currys. They told me I did not need to fix the return label on the package. This was also wrong as the return item had to be packaged by the customer and return label attached to the package before DPD accept the return package. When I showed the customer assistant the currys webpage clearly giving me an option of returning the mobile phone to the store, they were dismissive telling me the currys website was wrong! To this date I do not know if their website giving the wrong information or the customer representative did not know they meant to take returns. Either way I wasted 2 hours of my time because incompetent staff at chelmsford currys branch. Clearly currys is trying to make harder for their customer to return goods. I could not even find an email to complaint about this issue! the only option to complaint is either online chat or call them if you are willing to wait long time! I will never buy anything from Currys chelmsford store.

For a change I chose to buy one 'click and collect' item from Currys instead of my usual local suppliers Toolstation and Screwfix. Prices were identical in all three stores. The collection system at Currys is cruelly cumbersome, so my visit there took nearly 20 minutes to complete and included much work on my mobile phone using a 'Dixons' ID process which eventually told me I was 5th in an invisible queue. Seeing my bewilderment, a store assistant felt obliged to abandon her counter to rouse backroom staff at which point a real queue of shoppers built up. Back to my suppliers, I guess, where my average collection visit takes less than one minute.

Amazing experience. I walked in, not knowing which laptop to buy. I came across a very friendly young man named Ethan, who was so helpful and friendly and took the time to show me different laptops until I found the perfect one, he was so patient and answered my questions to the best of his ability. I got talking to Ethan, who has only just started working at Currys (you would have never thought it because of his confidence and professional approach) His colleagues Luke and manager Ian supported Ethan showing him how to complete a transation smoothly making sure that I was offered relevant packages for my new laptop. It was lovely seeing great team work. Thank you so much for all being so professional, friendly and making my experience so lovely. My laptop is perfect. Thank you once again, Ethan. Highly recommend going to this curry store.

Went in looking for a laptop to suit my studying and Luke helped me massively in choosing the right one to suit me, explained all of the extras in a way even a non tech person like myself could understand.
