I rung them up to get a puncture repair on a tyre performed, the young lady answering the phone was very polite, safety aware and helpful and they fitted me in quickly.On the day of the puncture repair i turned up 30mins early and they fitted me in straight away rather then making me wait the 30mins which i was totally prepared to do, the poor fitter had only just finished his lunch and it was a rainy wet day and grim outside but he rushed straight to it. I will definitely be using this branch of Halfords Autocare again for future work, excellent customer service.Photo of tyre prior to replacement.

Visited as my battery failed under warranty. Very helpful man on reception ordered new battery and fitted same day. Excellent service and highly recommend ???

Absolutely excellent. Always good to have your expectations exceeded. Super friendly service, maybe I got lucky but without an appointment my new battery was supplied and fitted in well under 30 mins.

Stay well clear, complete scammers. Waste of time and money. Failed MOT first time on tyres, took back and they failed on brakes with repairs of £300. Thought something wasn?t right so took to another garage and my MOT passed first time with not even an advisory on my brakes. 2nd fail report at Halfords also said tyre tread were below brand new, even though I had just paid for brand new tyres.

Failed a car for minor things,overpriced and the employees are rude and trying to get more money out of their customers by trying to find small issues. Avoid at all costs if possible

Poor customer service and incredibly let down by them. Booked in for the works and paid in advance to be left with works not completed and no solution. Had to contact customer service to get a refund.Not to mention they charge well over the odds for parts and labour - I saved myself £150 going elsewhere!Service: Brakes

Booked online for a free repair check. We were called back within three hours with a quote and emailed details. We needed quite a bit doing and it was a bank holiday weekend. They booked it in for the Tuesday and it was done when they said.Can't complain and they offered a payment plan if needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Biggest scammers I?ve ever come across!! Avoid at all costs , so basically they mot my car told me I needed £500 worth of work which confused me in the first place as I had it mot at mr clutch a couple days before n it only failed on 2 things which I had gotten fixed so I assumed it would pass with flying colors ,unfortunately this was not the case , I needed to use my car and Mr clutch couldn?t get me in for a re test so I chose halfords , so I bit my tounge n agreed to the 500 , so they told me in a weeks time my car would be fully mot and everything would be completely fixed and road legal , on the 7th day I go to collect my car only to be told they had fitted the wrong part and i needed an extra part which would result in me needing to pay them another £200!!! I don?t know if I?m going insane but why should I pay for someone else?s mistake when they were the ones to mot the car in the first place , surely this isn?t right for a supposedly big chain like halfords ,Also not to mention 2 of the guys that work behind the desk have no respectI wish anyone all the best if they chose to use these clowns

I purchased 4 tyres for my Mercedes and booked a slot on line for all 4 tyres to be fitted and balanced at Halfords Autocentre Robjohns Rd Chelmsford Essex.I arrived in plenty of time for my 12pm appointment.I was then told it would take over 2hrs as there were 2 MOTs booked to be done before they could even get to my car.Obviously not my problem !!!At this point I was going to cancel my order and walk out. Fortunately there was another member of staff, Chris, in the office, who despite being a manager from National tyres their partner company down the road offered to step in and do the job there and then for me.He was really polite and professional and had a can do attitude. Unlike the Halfords staff member.Chris was so helpful, he did 4 tyres in 45 minutes.At my request he kept one of my old tyres as a spare. He wrapped it in cling film, and put it on a seat cover in the boot.Really excellent customer service.In future I will definitely be contacting Chris by phone, and arranging a proper appointment on the phone and visiting his branch instead of using Halfords online booking system and getting a load of excuses.Service: Tires
