From customer service to lack of security - I am surprised that this can even be considered a bank. I opened a business account here about a year ago and I have been stolen from twice. They bank allowed amounts upward of 5k to be stolen from my account without any extra verification. Both incidences occurred outside of working hours so I had to call customer service, which is of course, off shore call centers that can?t help me. When I went into the bank the following day, both times, they didn?t have the capacity to solve anything face to face. They called the same off shore centers and the process was disorganized at BEST and arduous from start to finish. The lines were always breaking up and the language barriers prohibited communication. The staff was rude and patronizing. Shame on you HSBC. You have a duty to your customers to protect their money and to support them when that duty isn?t upheld. You might never read this, but if you do, I hope you make changes. What you?re doing is unethical.

Had a terrible experience with a representative at this location called Georgy. I was quite taken aback, he was incredibility rude and I felt borderline aggressive with me. I'm honestly a bit lost for words.

It?s very shambolic that HSBC is closed in Chelmsford high street. Overall I have seen significant decline in the HSBC bank customer services when ever visit the branches. I felt that they discourage the customers to visit branch in person.

Was going to enquire about opening an account after I changed a ten pound note up. Left stunned by the female member of staff who asked if I was a customer of theirs and when I replied no, she asked me who I was with and gave me directions to go and get the £10 changed up. Don't think I'll bother banking with them now!

The only bank I had been since I arrived in UK. May be a good bank with amazing services. But as far as I'm concerned, it is taking like forever to open a bank account.. Having submitted all the documents from my end, I'm still to hear from HSBC. No idea what is going on at their end.Thankfully it is well located with so many other banks in the vicinity with so many options to choose from.

Very bad customer services! Unprofessional staff, today I went to request my bank statement and Mrs Priya serve me she was very rude and unprofessional ,she wasted my time as First she ask me why i need my bank statement and after that she was keep telling me that i can print out my statement at my home after 15 mints she try to print it for me and her tablet gone off and then she went inside the office with my bank card and she took 30 more mints to come out having her food in her month just to tell me that she cant give me my bank statement as she cannot identifies my details ,no manners to speak to customers, she look like she is there to fight, or she had fight at home and she is still in it, totally unprofessional bringing her own matters at job and taking her fraustration on customers, such a shame she is.... she didnâ??t even ask my ID ,I refuse her service and request that someone els serve me ! Then Another lady I forgot her name but she was also Indian serve me with full professional attitude and respect ! But there was no manager to help me out and bank look like fish market!
HSBC lost there standard , very bad customer services as 2 Indian women for customer services and old people were standing to be served around 45 mints !
