Went in to buy food from here on a lunch break, food is expensive and I don't know whether the staff were having an off-day but one member of staff was shouting at a customer in front of me for what seemed no reason at all, I was quite shocked. When I got to the till as I was a few seconds late because I didn't hear her above the din she raised her eyebrows at me and had quite an attitude. If someone doesn't like serving on tills get another job or have some grace and smile. I'll try not to be back.

This location has developed a very inconsistent nightime open or closed routine just lately (December 2022). I regard the BP shop at Boreham as a vital location for the night time economy of Chelmsford for night workers like myself etc who rely on the generally good services offered here i.e. some middle of the night groceries, some doughnuts (;-)), use the toilets or a coffee on the go.However these days it's now pot luck whether the shop is actually accessible or not in the middle of the night particularly mid week. It's simply not good enough. If it's due to staff shortages the shop isn't open at night anymore then that's down to bad management as far as I'm concerned. No point asking at the night pay window cashier to get items from within the store as you can't browse and many items I purchase here are available some days and not on others. There has been several occasions when the whole station is closed and you can't even buy fuel which is s ludicrous situation for a so called 24 hour facility. What should be noted this the only service station store open in the middle of the night in the Chelmsford area that you can rely on being accessible however that is no longer the case. Many workers finish in the business park vicinity at 2am for example not to mention the truck drivers in the adjacent truck park who may want to purchase some shopping late at night after a long shift or patrons of the Premier Inn Hotel. This is so frustrating after driving for miles and miles like I do for a living because you know the BP Boreham shop will be open and there for you in the middle of the night but when you get there.. it's not.Sort it out BP. Either you're open at night here or your not. You are losing a lot of customers, not to mention revenue and reputation.

A good option on Bank Holidays when all supermarkets are closed.A little more expensive than a normal m&s, but it's quite big and has the basics and more.It has gotten me out of some trouble ??.Attached to the BP gas station, the site is quite hidden but you can park without problem. The staff, how in all the s m & s, more than correct, although it is very crowded.

Tidy and convenient although the prices seem to be quite inflated. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My 2 years old started asking me for babyccino as soon as he saw our coffees and the staff member made one for him even though they do not have any babyccino in the menu. Thank you!

Be very careful buying food here. They routinely overstock the fridges and leave meat sitting on the front of the fridge. This effectively means it is unrefrigerated. My wife and I both felt very unwell after eating bacon and sausages bought here. We won't make that mistake again

My opinion is not very good, especially about the shower, something like that for four pounds, it's embarrassing, it doesn't even have a mirror ????? as you can see in the pictures, the shower is a cubicle in which it's hard to turn around, let alone undress and in winter, how do you more clothes than in the summer. There is a beer shop, as a friend writes, the price per night is small, but if you don't buy a parking lot, you have to pay for being clean and fresh, and it's expensive.

Rather slow service

Nice opportunity to buy quality food from M&S 24/7. Maybe not the cheapest but there are deals available on certain products. Make sure you check the best before date before purchasing, they are very slow to reduce the price and you may end up with food extremely close to the expiry date for full price. This does not happen in main M&S food halls so I'm guessing this is a franchise that appears to operate outside of the expected guidelines of the main stores.
