Normally pleased with store but I noticed I was being very non- discreetly observed by a member of staff when using automatic check out.Probably due to increase in shoplifting, but why make everyone feel like a criminal?

My frequent go-to spot for the occasional odd item. They have food products, clothes, household cleaning products etc. Swift in-and-out visits thanks to efficient self-service tills. Variety of brands so you can get quality plus intriguing random finds at good value. But, a hiccup today. Arrived at 1804, unaware they closed 4 minutes before. A member of staff outside shut the door abruptly at my approach, signaling closure.Poundland isn't posh, but first impressions still matter. Courtesy and customer focus: room to grow. Having a cig and closing trumped customers.But it unfolded well. B&M Homestores stepped in. Not a pound haven, just a 10-min jaunt. Open late, stocked grandly, staff that's simply splendid.

I love Poundland. It sells a Great variety of things.From food and drink to clothes..it also sells house hold items..sprays, perfume, make up..toys cards seasonal things bathroom and kitchen requirements.. photo frames..children's books.. felt tips..craft stuff and much more

It's an ok shop, latterly has lost its appeal as it's tended to move away from its traditional offering, it would now seem to offer more food based products than anything else. It looses points for me as it should really be offering competitive prices, however if you look at the type of food and the size or quantity, you will soon see a larger or better offer can be obtained from a supermarket in most cases. I think they need to focus on going back to their original business model - however this is just my opinion.

Have some useful items but it?s more than a pound and some items are just too cheaply made to even waste money.. better places with cheaper pricing and better products are out there..
