Been buying my games from Smyths Chelmsford for years, but will probably skip in future.Wanted to exchange a game and pay more for the next edition, but because I?d opened the seal it was a no.If the game was broken, they?d have had to so I don?t see the difference.Poor experience.

Bought a bike . Tried to call for the after service that they provide. No answer, so go into shop to talk to a member of staff.Staff member told me they haven?t got enough staff to answer the phone . I said can I book in my bike ?yes we will give you a call when it?s ready. ? I said have you got enough staff to give us a call ? she said no, so it?s a guessing game to when you can get your product back . This is what it has come to. Very low customer service in chain shop providers. No training. No service, cheap products, I will be paying more to the local providers. Any independent shop is the way forward.

Horrible shopping experience, and it seems to be their policy to obstruct refunds on faulty goods now.Just tried to return a faulty toy purchased by my son. It broke after two hours of use, but they must hope we'll give up and let them keep the money because they put up illegal obstacles to it's refund. Maybe it's one of the store manager's targets, to obstruct genuine refunds plenty of other reviews describe the same treatment. The paper receipt is a 60 mile trip away at his aunt's house. Our photographic proof of purchase was not accepted, had to be the actual paper copy from their till, not an image of it. This is actually against consumer law when faulty goods are returned for a refund, a proof of purchase is all they require.It's now just a money grabbing corporation, who prefer arguing with customers over providing any service. The staff were obstructive and belligerent. Maybe this is how they survive in a competitive toy market, but it's lost our custom. We won't be shopping with this store again.

Was a fair size. Is located at the rear of the Riverside retail park. The car park is a nightmare.

This place has always been bad but it?s gone massively downhill. Staff are rude, couldn?t care about their customers. Spoke to one of the young girls about working there and she said the company treat them like animals. Security guard got sacked for stealing and selling on. Anything else? Sort it out

I saw the store was lacking some toys, though its expectable since I wrote this in December & many of the contents would be bought due to Christmas (shopping)

Wow! Went in there stressed out after work but an employee (Craig) helped me locate several toys with ease, incredible! Another person at the till, was happy to assist with locating a final product; and a third employee mentioned a discount on a Luigi?s mansion Lego set my son has been after for a while. What an incredible team! Kudos to you guys, very happy customer here ?

I?ve been coming to this store for nearly three years and always had a good experience. Staff always been extremely helpful if needed.This year I?ve returned mainly to this store for the staff but also for a great member of staff Tommy due to his professionalism and welcoming when paying for items or needing assistance. Happy to talk if time is available and communicates with my boy very well. Experiences like this make a difference and a reason to why I use in store instead of online.Good to see good customer service still being held at a high standard and will continue to shop at this store
