Extremely disappointing.I spent £220 on a premium service, placing my trust in the Specialized brand name attached to the store. There were a number of unsatisfactory things about the service but these were small when compared to the fact that when I collected my bike my power meter was broken. The workshop continually denied all responsibility but the simple fact was that my power meter was in working order, with no sign of any water ingress or damage to the seal on the day I took my bike into be serviced. When I collected the bike it was no longer working and on inspection the power meter looked like it had been through a parts washer.It took a number of complaints over several weeks for me to finally be able to get a partial refund of my service cost, but even this left me out of pocket when paying for a replacement part. Given the £200+ additional I spent on top of my £220, there was ample room to reimburse me for the purchase of a new power meter.Overall this was an extremely disappointing experience. Being new to the area I was attracted to the workshop based on the association with Specialized. I thought it sensible to trust that brand and be willing to pay a premium price for a premium service. However, after this experience, in future I will definitely look for a small independent workshop, who will almost certainly be cheaper, and it would be hard for them to provide a worse service.If you are considering using the Specialized Concept Store for a service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Find an independent store you can trust.

I went to get my sit bones measured for a new saddle. Harry was extremely helpful and very professional. The machine used only took a few minutes and was much more accurate than me attempting to do this at home. Thanks to Harry I now have a new very comfortable saddle with a very kind gesture of 10% off too. I highly recommend this store and will be returning for future purchases.

The staff in Chelmsford branch are always helpful, professional, knowledgeable, kind, polite and don't hurry you when discussing a new steed or just general enquiries. Luke, Ian and Harry make you feel welcome and always willing to answers questions on the phone and email.Yesterday as arranged the same morning by email I returned one of our new bikes to the Colchester store. After 10 miles cycling a grinding sound coming from the chain. ( it was the rear hub) On walking in to the store my wife and I weren't greeted by any of the three men. There were not any other customers in the shop. I have received more of a welcome walking into a greasy spoon cafe.After being told that we'd have to wait for an hour ( it was arranged that we would take it in any time that day). Nick said he would do us a favour and find a fitter who looked at the problem and we were told the bike would have to go back to manufacturers to be repaired. We looked in silence at our new bike.We weren't offered an apology, a new bike or a refund!On visiting Chelmsford this morning after a phone call, Harry sorted the problem out immediately and offered us a new bike to replace the faulty one. We felt very welcome in the store.Why didn't Colchester offer such assistance and make us feel at ease, even happy with the experience of buying two lovely new ebikes!? It is baffling and sad.

I visited the Chelmsford store for saddle help, I have spent many years riding with saddle pain and never found a solution. One visit to the Chelmsford store later and I finally have a saddle that doesn?t cause any pain at all which is quite revolutionary! Absolutely great team, special thanks to Rob for all of his help. Rob really took the time to listen to my concerns and recommend saddles based on my issues and my riding style. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit here for any of your bike needs.

I brought my Turbo Levo into the workshop yesterday and spent a great day chatting with Harry and Harvey. They were supportive of my mobility needs and offered their assistance whenever they could, I am genuinely impressed by their level of compassion and support for their customers.My bike was looked after by Steve in the workshop; whom. Not only did the bare minimum effort to sort my bike out but went over and above. He laised with Specialized directly to sort a battery issue out and was able to supply a new battery, install it and give me some pointers on future issues being avoided!Overall, all 3 of the above names, should be recognised for their excellent customer service, should be encouraged to continue performing at a great level of professionalism and recognised by their respective line managers for their efforts.Fingers crossed this battery holds but if it doesn't I'll be back for more coffee lads!Thanks again, you've helped get me back out on my bike, whilst is a big deal for me, cheers!!

I purchased a SL7 for my son to race on, it?s a beautiful bike. The store got the bike ready in no time at all. It was subject to a recall, nothing to do with the store. The recall work was done without issue. Thank you Chelmsford for the expediency and for your ongoing support of the LVYCC junior cycling team which is invaluable.

I bought a rockhopper mountain bike from them which I'm over the moon with, but found the staff a bit snobby.The bike is really nice though, just make sure you turn up weighing less than 10 stone and fully clad in racing licra to get their full attention.

I recently dealt with the staff at the Chelmsford Specialized store and they were incredibly helpful. I wanted to change the handlebars on my Vado to the same bars on the Como for increased ride comfort. The member of staff ordered the bars and they arrived today, earlier than expected. I would highly recommend the store and will be using them again. It is just a shame that there is not a Specialized Concept Store in Norwich which is a little closer to me. Thanks for your service, genuinely very happy customer?

I recently ordered a Specialized Tarmac online, including delivery to Scotland. The service was top! I was contacted the next morning (I placed the order late evening) with a personal email confirming the order and with an upfront apology that due to Covid the delivery may take a little longer than usual. Nevertheless, the next day I received another set of emails and pictures detailing how my bike was getting assembled, what checks have been carried out, how the bike would be packaged, etc. Instructions about assembly followed shortly afterwards by email. Low and behold, the bike was on its way the same day and arrived safe and sound less than 24 hours later up North. Packaging and assembly was as advertised and it took longer to unpack the bike than to assemble it. The only problem... I did a 135k ride the same day on my old bike and was too tired to take the Tarmac out for a proper spin and decided to wait until the next day for the maiden voyage ? But that's hardly the shops fault, which was simply brilliant from start to finish with its customer service!

Just had two of my bikes serviced here. Awesome store with loads of bikes and accessories. Staff are super friendly and helpful , for example offered to help load my bikes into my car. Service of bikes was excellent with good advice , particular thanks to Seb and James. This is now my go to bike store.Another great service of my bike here. This time from Jack - great work - it's like I've got a new bike. Thanks guys.
