Excellent service in branch after being messed about on the phone with business banking for 8 days. Numerous calls and being told something different by every advisor that i spoke to . Nobody could give me any correct advice as to how to proceed and also lied to me on more than one occasion. I was lucky that a lady from the local Clacton On Sea branch was willing to help me out although she normally deals with personal side of banking she spent a good amount of time helping me on a couple of consecutive days and she also seemed frustrated in my opinion on how I was not getting anywhere as she faced the same problem . She did all she could and she finally got me back into my internet banking . Keep up the good work Debbie at HSBC Clacton. As for online business banking my advice is to never get locked out of your account and if you do avoid speaking to online banking as they can not understand what you are trying to say and when they do they either have no idea on how to help or give the wrong advice or just make it up as they go along.

Oh lord, where do I start?! This branch is SO SLOW! I had to come in to show my ID because I had changed my address and HSBC had blocked my account. It took them 45 minutes to unblock my account and photocopy my ID! I presented my ID to the elderly lady who was serving me. She then left me in her office for what felt like forever, and she completely disappeared! When she finally returned, I asked her if she had unblocked my account yet? She said no, not yet. Have you got ID?" I literally gave her my ID at the beginning, it was right infront of her!! She then finally took my ID and disappeared again. When she returned she gave me back my ID and told me that my account is unblocked now. I was stuck in the store for 45 minutes altogether, it really shouldn't take that long to help your customers over simple tasks! I also had to repeat myself several times to the elderly lady that was serving me. I usually wouldn't mind, but the service was so slow, and she was quite rude. I didn't get an apology for the length of time I had to wait!I really hope that I won't have to go here again for a long time!!!
