We stayed in this country pub for two nights - midweek. As there was no booked entertainment during our stay, we can only comment on the nice, peaceful atmosphere.The rooms were clean and modern and even though we were in room 2 at the front, there was no trouble with traffic noise.The welcome was friendly, the food good with a reasonable choice of vegetarian meals compared to many pubs. Prices were good for both food and accommodation.We see there have been some not very complimentary reviews but, they must have been acted upon by the management as our experience was excellent. Modest choices of breakfast but, portions were good.This is a country pub so, the stairs yo the rooms is accessed from outside the rear of the pub and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We will stay again when in the area.

Why go to TleS? If you do - this place is great. We went for the Gin tasting at the East Coast distillery and what a good combination. ?Rooms: Great value family room available

Called in here as staying at Lifehouse Spa who hadn't been able to cater for a food allergy in their restaurant. Glad we did as the homemade pizza was fantastic! If you are ever nearby you should try it or even go instead of ordering usual delivery pizzas. Much better and very reasonably priced. Service very efficient - staff friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Thank youFood & drinks: Very reasonably priced. Kamer 3 is een schone kamer. Dat is erg fijn.De badkamer en toilet zijn schoon, de kitranden zijn schoon. Op 1 van de tegels heeft in het verleden een pompje of iets dergelijks gehangen voor de shampoo. De restanten kit zijn daar nog zichtbaar. Met een mesje is dit eenvoudig te verwijderen waarna het er weer mooi uitziet. De lakens zijn schoon, het bed is netjes opgemaakt.Koffie en thee corner met de koekjes op de kamer is als dankbaar ontvangen. Ontbijt begint om 8 uur s'morgens. Daar heb ik geen gebruik van gemaakt, want de ferry haar laatste moment om te boarden is ook 8 uur.Er zit een Mac Donalds in de haven, en op de ferry kun je ook ontbijten.De keuze is reuze ?

Came here for a tribute act and decided to have dinner too. Pre warned them several weeks before we were vegans. Well what can I say, what was dished up was something a 5 year old could have made better. It was suppose to a vegan cottage pie!!! I wished I had taken a photo. Sadly left most of it. It was mainly potato and no flavour. We also ordered hummus and olives for a starter. The hummus was tasteless and there were no olives until I asked if I read the menu wrong.I do hate to moan because having a business is hard work these days, but really they need to get their act together. This is the second time I?ve tried the place. Sadly not feeling the urge to go back. Shame as it?s only 5 minutes around the corner.

I really like this pub its warm , cosy and quite friendly atmosphere. However came here the other night for food and what I ordered was not exactly what I received , for the price it was tiny ! Me & partner both questioned this to the waiter as we were not happy , they offered us an extra portion but mentioned it would only be this one off time , which I said that be great but I just won?t order it again . I understand costs have gone up but you can?t charge £15 for 3 chunks of chicken with few onions and Ton of chips ! I know it don?t cost that much . Anyhow apart from that the food was good and service good , just a shame the portions have shrunk .

Out performs nearby Premier Inn for comfort and service. Price included cooked to order breakfast. Menu for evening meal had good choices. Totally

Popped in on the off chance, staff very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately that?s where the good finished.Food poor. Really poor.Maybe an ideal place to take your in-laws, if you don?t like them.

Had a lovely meal with drinks. There was a quiz night we joined, which was lots of fun.Food & drinks: My husband had fish and chips, I had duck, we had onion rings and cheese garlic bread. I also had the chocolate fudge cake. Very nice!

Tafel plakte (ook na schoonmaken), geadviseerd bier was lauw en flauw (Tom Taylor oid), patat slap en niet doorbakken, mayonnaise zonder smaak. Broodje van de hamburger was a la McDonalds... Verder weinig groente. Burger zelf was oké. Toetje bij de Tesco gehaald (tiramisu). Dat smaakte nog het beste. Bediening (jong meisje) zonder pit en nauwelijks te verstaan. Gehele bediening niet geinteresseerd in hoe het gesmaakt had en of alles naar wens was geweest. Partner had pasta met zalm maar kon de zalm niet proeven met ogen dicht. Kortom aardig teleurstellend.

Perfect. Price / quality 100%. Wonderfully clean and tidy. People nice and helpful. Bar cosy. Absolutely great.Any remark: was there a vacuum cleaner and boxes in the room in the evening and the next morning? Why?
