Went to this store yesterday as I always go here before Christmas but I found the store has lost its sparkle ?? of Christmas time, there weren't any even any Christmas music playing. Plus I found a member of staff who was doing a online shop pick standing on the front plastic bit in front of the food in one of the meat aisle I'm sorry but that goes against hygiene, health and safety issues !!!!How disgusting !!!Plus there should be more checkouts for larger trolley shops as it very hard do this at a self checkout

Absolutely diabolical!! Went today to get some outfits for Christmas party's, changing rooms closed ! So tried a few pieces on over my clothes and was spoken to like Absolute dirt by the member of staff working putting clothes out. Left the rest of my shopping and walked out.

I really hate this store, and only shop here because it?s the only supermarket within walking distance of my house.So many gaps on the shelves, no matter what time of day I go in, plus a poor range with limited choice to start with, even though it?s a large store. Loads of products that are listed on the Asda website are not available here. I have never left the store with everything I went in for. Store range and stock replenishment need reviewing.Not enough staffed checkouts or even enough people manning the self checkouts to deal with proof of age checks, issues etc.No soft plastic recycling out front even though the Asda website states all large stores have facilities. Just put a couple of roll cages in the foyer with a sign on them!Pharmacy queues and waiting times are atrocious. Queue for 10 minutes for a prescription that?s meant to be ready to collect, only to be told it?ll be another 20-30 minutes.The staff that work in the store are great but there just aren?t enough of them to run such a large and busy store. The issues with empty shelves and queues at checkouts could be resolved if you treated staff as an asset and not another cost to be cut.

I accompanied a friend to return quite a few items that she bought online. We were confused and unsure how to make the returns. We stopped an assistant whose name is Leigh and she was most helpful. Quickly and efficiently she sorted all the items. She was friendly, patient, understanding and professional and made our visit so much less stressful than we expected. Leigh is a credit to your store.

Way too many self serve tills and not enough proper checkouts.Chaos on the self serve, not enough room and people standing around waiting for a member of staff to come sort issues out on the tills.If you want to stand out from the rest and impress your customers maybe go back to a proper checkout and serve your customers the proper way instead of expecting us to serve ourselves?

It's a good place to shop. Easy to park the car. It's well laid out store easy to find what you want. And the prices are very goodI would recommend this company.

Just brought some sausages Aberdeen Angus to be precise. They are so dry and bland. Not a patch on lidl's Beef sausages. The dogs liked them though.

GOOGLE MAPS shows WRONG LOCATION for ASDA SUPERSTORE COLCHESTER @15.08.23. For correct route, avoiding getting lost in a housing estate, enter Asda cafe or Asda pharmacy or Asda petrol. We gave up looking and were halfway to Bristol by the time we had worked out why we couldn't find it?

Is this store closing down. No stock most of the time. Today no potatoes again. I took a photo as I was shocked. No staff on the shop floor. Tills are packed all the time. Their own staff moans about it. What a shame.

Delivery/customer service team (not Colchester whole of Asda) is a nightmare to deal with when goes wrong!HOWEVER, after a bit of a battle to finally get through to one of the manager at Colchester store (Chris) the issue was immediately dealt with, explained clearly and very apologetic!!So actual store team, once could have a conversation with, I now can?t fault. Asda as a whole need to stop cutting corners on customer service quality as the stores are the ones having to clear it up.Also, the driver Joseph was extremely polite and did what he could to help.

Half hour plus wait for click and collect. Went in store, manager radioed but still another 15 min wait. Ginger haired man who brings out the groceries said he was on a break and didn't care. Very poor service,, won't be returning to this unorganised, rude store.The phone number at the collection point doesn't work.

Got a prescription from my doctor back in May, went in and they gave me half of my prescription. I paid for the full thing and they gave me an iou, told me to come back next week as they?d have to order the rest in.Went in the following week to pick the rest up and of course, no one had ordered them in? again they told me to come back next week as they would order them. As you can imagine they didn?t. This has been re accruing since the 5th May!!!I went in on Wednesday this week ( 9th August) only for them to take the iou slip and tell me they only hold onto prescriptions for 8 weeks and that I?m no longer on their system and if I wanted to get them I would have to get a new prescription from my doctor and pay for the remaining.Not only is it a mission to get served as there is always such a huge que and long wait times. They then tell you to come back in 30 minutes and it?s still not ready the next day. They never ordered in my prescription that I handed in in MAY! I then raised my concern to the manger that I had been coming in weekly to pick it up as the staff had told me they will order it in for her to then speak over me while I was explaining what had happened, her reply was ?no, we would have ordered them in, it doesn?t take months? and ?you?ll have to pay for a new prescription?. So now because of your incompetent staff not being able to do an order I have to faff around getting a doctors appointment and new prescription made up and pay again for a mess I haven?t made.Absolutely appalling customer service with rude and ignorant staff.
