Sad to see the demise of such a great store! I used to be called The Per Una Lady by all my Friends, but that is so in the past now. The clothing is so frumpy! I can't even find anything for my Mother!
At least we have the Food! The fresh Bread is excellent and the Pastries very good too. Try the Lemon Tart!
Sweets are good, especially Percy Pigs. Fresh Vegetables, Salad stuff, Ready Meals for one are in abundance, Cheeses and cooked meats are excellent so much choice! Also lovely Flowers!
Go upstairs to the Cosmetics and Toiletries and of course The Underwear! There is a Bureau De Change, which is handy and a very good coffee shop. With gluten-free options!

I used to be a loyal M&S customer, until they stopped selling trousers in my size. For myself, it's often a waste of time going to the Colchester branch, as they very rarely have anything to fit me. That said, they do sell some great clothes for babies and toddlers, and the quality is superior.
Edit: On my most recent visit, I found they had started to get their act together better, now catering for a wider range of budgets. Best of all, they actually had one pair of trousers in my size for a reasonable price. Grumpy service though, and overall, still too expensive.

Good M&S lots of choice. Cafe has stopped giving a little biscuit with tea and coffee shame it was a nice little touch.

Very disappointed. Feel it is very petty to stop giving a biscuit with coffee which now has to be asked for. Do not feel this is what I would expect from Marks and Spencer.

Good store. Good quality. Could do with larger sizes in their clothing.
