I went here to collect some medication for my niece's dog. What a great little place this is. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and their is some parking to the rear. Thank goodness the RSPCA exists for people who can not afford the astronomical prices of a private vet.

'Phoned up re injured deer, I had seen in a park near my house. I phoned twice and both times the phone operators were quite abrupt, almost hostile. The first woman said she was working from home, and her English was pretty poor. I explained that I had seen the deer whilst I was out walking my dog's, and the 2nd operator said "have you carried out the broom test on the deer (which apparently involves approaching the deer, whilst holding a broom , and seeing how fast the deer runs as you approach it! Since I thoughtlessly forgot my broom and my pedometer on this particular occasion, I had been unable to do this. If John Cleese had scripted this conversation, I'd have thought "he's lost it, this time". The mind boggles at the stupidity of both the system, and the people who man the R.S.P.C.A. 'phonelines.

Rspca Colchester is a wonderful charity vets The Vets and Staff and receptionist are always super friendly I won't take my Cat anywhere else always very helpful eventhough very busy and stretch it's a small place but it really does look after your animals. Well done to all staff that looks after and put animals first unlike most private vets. That put profits over Animals welfare. RSPCA keep up the wonderful amazing work you do.

If I could give it zero I would.I have an rspca rescue dog for past 12 years who became poorly suddenly. I'm on a low income and receive tax credits.when I asked for help they didn't want to know as I'm not in receipt of housing benefit. Had to borrow money to get her to a local vet who was much more helpful. I really thought the RSPCA was animal lovers, how wrong was I.

Booked me in when had no appointments as had a poorly cat, and cleaned him up as was sick as soon as arrived, the receptionist was great and very caring, the vet explained in detail what was wrong, dealt with the issue straight away reassured me he was going to be ok, would contact them if in need as I tried every charity and vets and RSPCA were the only ones willing to help me
