Had an excellent experience today - the optician who did my eye test was very efficient and informative. He then passed me on to Betty who helped me choose my new specs and took great care to ensure that I was happy with my choice. Thank you.

Tom, we don't want to fill your forms. People give feedback. Your staff needs to be trained to be respectful, empathetic, and sensitive. No more science and data collection here. If you guys can't do it, we have options to go to other places.

All three times I?ve visited this particular branch in Colchester I have felt very unwelcome. The women who have dealt with me come over rude and hostile, and they act like a burden is put upon them to even answer a question!The actual optician(male) was very nice!Judging from the terrible reviews it?s apparent there is a problem with the miserable female staff, and it?s odd that it doesn?t seem to be dealt with!You don?t even get a Good Morning when you walk in, it?s a horrible atmosphere and probably won?t be returning

Awful ! Running late appointment 9:50 it was 10:01 guy was like she?ll just have to wait .. very unprofessional staff and after experiencing the rudeness here I?ll also be cancelling my contact lenses subscription and going elsewhere .Oh and my daughter was seen 25 minutes after her appointment scheduled

Twice in the space of two weeks my appointment for sight check was cancelled due to either incomplete staff or absence of the optician! Absolutely unprofessional and unreliable place! Awful customer service! Will never use and definitely won?t recommend to my friends or family!

I had my eyes tested at vision express Colchester. My intention was to to order some eyewear from an online outlet as there is obviously a far wider range to choose from.When I asked if that was everything I needed to purchase something elsewhere I was told that they would absolutely not give me the measurements that were required to do so.This was the sole reason for my visit there.Very disappointed.

Took in a prescription and chose two pairs of glasses. Went to try them on and they had the wrong strength lenses in!The lenses didn?t match my written prescription, the computer system also didn?t match my written prescription or the one in the glasses! Sadly put me off ever returning.

Met by rude\overtly blunt employee on the desk upon my arrival. I was then presented with my expensive new glasses on which an error has been made with the prescription and the lenses aren't correct. Frames are in generally poor condition too. Useless all round, first time using Vision Express and won't be bothering again.

Had a problem with my right eye being blurred. Booked an eye test and was quickly diagnosed with a retinal bleed. All explained to me in detail and my questions answered. The optician referred me to the eye clinic at Broomfield hospital who contacted me later in the day. Also told to see GP, which I managed to do the next day. The optician gave me a copy of her referral letter, which was a big help at the GP's. I now have blood pressure tablets from the GP and a comprehensive blood test booked. All within three days of seeing the optician. Not bad!Great service from Vision Express optician. Many thanks!
