Every time I book an appointment by using an online discount code for wheel alignment, I get a similar phone call saying our machine is broken. Why they advertise a discount code if their franchise won't honour them.Never going to there and never would recommend them.

On 04.12.23, I had a scheduled appointment for 11:30 am at the Grays branch, under the order number *****. My Partner arrived 10 minutes early, expecting a prompt and efficient service. Unfortunately, his experience was quite the opposite. He was made to wait for over half an hour (12.03pm) before being attended to, causing a significant inconvenience to his schedule. My keys were handed back to him after 1.hr30min with no communication regarding my vehicle. You can check the CCTV.While waiting, he overheard another customer who was facing challenges with their MOT inspection. He was disheartened to learn that the person responsible for the inspection had called in sick, which is understandable, but the manner in which the situation was handled was disappointing. The customer, inquired if there was any alternative branch that could accommodate them. Shockingly, the customer service representative failed to take any initiative to assist or find a solution. This lack of proactive service resulted in the customer being greatly inconvenienced and fobbed off.Adding to my dissatisfaction, I had previously been notified that the scheduled alignment of my wheels couldn't proceed as planned due to the machinery being out of use. Furthermore, his visit to the Grays branch was specifically for a single tire replacement and wheel alignment, and the prolonged delay only heightened the inconvenience of the overall experience. The customer service representative failed to take initiative by not exploring the possibility of arranging for a wheel alignment at another nearby branch, despite my payment for the service.To compound matters, he found the waiting area to be uncomfortably cold, with no heating in operation. Additionally, there was no one present at the reception desk to address any queries or concerns.The associated Halfords Fitting Centre Ref for this visit is *****I believe that good customer service involves not only meeting scheduled appointments but also handling unforeseen circumstances with a degree of flexibility and empathy. It was disconcerting to witness the apparent lack of initiative and problem-solving skills exhibited by the customer service representative at the Grays branch.Upon reflection and after perusing your online reviews, it has become apparent that this specific branch is currently experiencing a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction. I would recommend a prompt investigation to identify and address these issues, aiming to prevent any potential harm to the Halfords brand reputation.I am hopeful that this feedback will be taken seriously and used as an opportunity for improvement. I kindly request your consideration in compensating me for the time lost and the subpar customer service experience. Customers should feel valued and supported, especially when facing unexpected challenges during their visits. I trust that Halfords will address these concerns promptly and take steps to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur in the future.

Brilliant service, I?ve had a lovely experience here.Shafeeq was excellent, he was incredibly polite, helpful and very knowledgeable. He was accommodating with all of my queries around diagnostics I needed, MOT bookings and general servicing. Very organised.The staff here are great and Shafeeq again, great customer service and friendliness.

Very poor customer serviceWe realized that our appointment was cancelledwhen we arrived .The guy was very rude and start to attack me instead to apologise .I hope they gona pay us the money and we will cancel our premium membershipOur suggestion is to avoid this service

Had an mot and service there recently and was not happy with the service element, the guys did not take enough care with replacing the engine tray properly and I had to return a few days later for the manager to sort out with me...To his credit, took it for a test drive heard the noise and ended up fixing it himself.UPDATEStill waiting for a call back from customer services....the link provided puts me in a loop..So Ruth get hold of Grays autocentre, get me my number and call me please, I will be happy to discuss with you...

On 06.10.2022 my car went into Halfords Grays Branch Hogg Lane for an MOT. I recieved a call at 10.30am from Tony, the manager sharing the car had failed it's MOT, the two front shock absorbers needed to be replaced in order to pass the MOT. I agreed to this work being completed. Tony shared the work will likely be completed on the day.I rang around 3.40pm and was informed the work had been completed and the car just needed to be re-tested for its MOT.I then recieved a call at around 4.40pm sharing the car had passed its MOT.I picked up the car at 5pm. I paid for the work got into my car and noticed a crack in my windscreen and also the cars scuttle broken. I could put my fingers underneath the scuttle it had been broken in many places.I went back into the store and informed Tony of the damage.Tony shared that he did not know about the damage to my car. He came out and looked at the damage.Tony got the worker who damaged my car out to look at the car. The worker smiled and didn't seemed bothered, just saying oh no.I was told by Tony that I could drive the car away with the damage they had done to my car.I told Tony I did not feel confident to drive a car with a cracked windscreen and broken scuttle. If the police pulled me over with the damage halfords caused I would have been at fault. I still don't know how my car was retested for the mot and a worker didn't see the damage caused. I question if a crack in the windscreen and scuttle broken would pass an MOT.I was shocked that Halfords had caused the damage but did not tell me until I had paid and found the damage for myself.It was agreed by Tony that Halfords would keep my car in the garage to stop theft and also becuase the scuttle was broken.It was agreed that they will fix the damage to my car.Tony made a comment that I would be getting a full refund and this is a Brucey bonus, as i could get partial refund for the work completed. I found Tony very unprofessional for a manager of the store.I then spent from 6th October until 1st of November 2023 without a car. Tony stopped communicating and instead Shaff another manager of Halfords was asked to deal with the situation. I felt sorry for Shaff as he had picked up the issue when he wasn't in the store at the time of the incident.I was informed the Scuttle had been ordered from Fiat however was then informed there wasn't a scuttle in the country. I ended up having to order my own parts for Halfords to fit them!There was multiple times were my car was left out over the weekend not in the garage as agreed by Tony.Tony was nowhere to be seen when I attended Halfords. On one occasion when I visited there was numerous customers complaining.It appears that Halfords in Grays Hogg Lane do not treat their customers with respect or respect customers cars.I have been using this brunch for 5 years however a change in management has really impacted it for the worse.I had to pay for the parts Halfords damaged, I did get my partial refund however as quoted by Tony it was definitely not a brucey bonus and costed me more as I had to pay for travel, use families cars and pay for my own cars parts to be repaired!I will never go back, it is definitely not how to run a business!

Made an online appointment, arrived early, then a 90 minute wait to get one tyre fitted. Only good part was the price of the tyre. I contacted customer services at the time, I am sure CS can look up the incident under my name. Very disappointed overall, just like the last time I went to a Halfords, 30 years ago!
