I went into B&Q at Harlow today with 3 items only one of which that I'd bought on line from B&Q. I asked if they had a customer service and was direct to their manager. I don't think that I have ever been so impressed, he was super helpful in every way and solved my problem in minutes. I didn't get the impression that he wanted to call me an idiot ever though I had been .I'm very sorry that I didn't take your name , you know who you are and all I can say is thank you many times I am very gratefulSue Brown

Customer service is out the window. Be prepared to do the shop assistance job for them without getting paid for it. Net time I shop in B&Q take CASH as that saves jobs. Not a happy customer. Hope HEADOFFICE reads these comments

Honestly had the WORST experience with this place. AVOID buying anything big like a kitchen or a bathroom as they just mess everything up and you end up out of pocket & without the items you think you have purchased. Never again will I shop at B&Q, particularly Harlow.

I can't express my confusion when this shop was referred to me to buy a Barbeque. Due to the similarity in both the name of the product I wanted and the shop itself, it took a good 15 minutes for the point to sink in.Well I got to this establishment to buy my BBQ, and to my shock it's not even a BBQ shop (exclusively)."I'm looking for a BBQ" I said to the lovely shop assistant "Well you've come to the right place" they would reply, and I would retort "No you misunderstand, I'm looking for a BBQ". This went on and on until I was politely asked to leave by some people who sold doors on what I assume is commission.

STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MADE HOMELESS FOR WEEKS ON END. After the initial issues were addressed such as measurements being incorrect on designs and having to redesign two rooms of our home - and pick new worktops and tiles that were more expensive as the original ones have been discontinued in the time between - it went from bad to worse. We were promised a two week project, after it being pushed back by a week at extremely short notice and nearly 9 weeks on and we are still unable to move into our home and only had running water restored this week. I think out of the last nearly 8 weeks of us being out of our home, the builders have probably only attended the property for 14/15 days knowing that we are currently sofa surfing with our family. There has been several items missing from the delivery that we?ve had to source AND PAY FOR ourselves as B&Q either don?t sell them anymore or there was ridiculous wait times that would hold the project up even more. Ad it stands with no refund. As well as several items that have been delivered incorrectly - wrong sizes, product types, colours, things that don?t work with the mechanics of the kitchen - most of these we are now on the third and fourth of ordering. B&Q have made the last 9 weeks the most stressful, overwhelming, expensive, and mentally draining time for both my husband and me and we aren?t even at the end yet. We?ve had to not only pay our own mortgage, gas, electric, water etc bills, but also contribute to those that we have been staying with too. We?ve had to upset and frustrate both of our workplaces due to the amount of chops and changes in locations we?ve had to stay in and cover care for our dogs. We?ve had to travel from different destinations to work, resulting in more travel costs as well as having to drive to the house to feed pets and see what work, or lack of, had been completed that day. That?s not to mention finding the time to constantly call, email and text to find out why there wasn?t builders weren?t working or yet again deliveries were wrong or to ask why the builders were hiding the key to my front door outside my house every night for anyone to find?! I was assured several times by B&Q that their building teams were reputable and on their preferred supplier list, B&Q picked these contractors, not us. I was assured several times by B&Q on timescales, that I now know we?re not just unfeasible, but even when revised were still incorrect. I was assured several times that things would be sorted, when really due to the lies, false promises, lack of communication and lack of organisation we have been left homeless for nearly 8 weeks and still counting. I would like to clarify here that this review is not against the contractors, we paid our money to B&Q, made our agreement with B&Q, and it is B&Q in our eyes that are at fault completely. B&Q are the ones that told us it would be two weeks. Had we been given the correct material information to be able to make an informed decision, not only would we have decided to rebook the project for another time, but there is also no way we would have given a penny of our money to B&Q to do our project at all.

Small store, not great selection of goods. Alarm tags on products with staff hard to find to get to the alarmed items. Went to a different store out of frustration
