Was super excited to stay here as it looked lovely online. Caravan was clean quite small for a deluxe one though. The sandpit play area had the same rubbish inside for the 3 days I was there. The arcade is basically falling apart. The food was absolutely disgusting I know you get what you pay for, but the prices were ridiculous and I was served stale chips to give to my child. The service was so slow and I mean slow. I waited for over 1 hour for 1 egg on toast and the toast was like rubber, the takeaway shop on the site is an absolute joke, I ordered a hot dog with cheese and they served me a cold hot dog with a cut up cheese string, I wish I was making this up., speaking to families that were there they also said they had been horrified at the food quality and the price of the food.

The park itself is nice and in a good location, but is hugely let down by the arcade and certain members of staff, most of the machines are broken and quite clearly not maintained, the gentleman who I assume is bar/ hospitality manager that floats between bar and arcade has a horrible attitude and when approached with issues would rather lie and come out with bulls#!t excuses rather than actually listen to your issue and offer an explanation or alternative, during our recent stay my 2year old son, had his heart set on a particular prize from the 2p machines (which happened to have a broken shute stopping any 2p's or prizes from falling out) I pointed this out and asked if the prize my son wanted could be moved to another (working) machine so he could at least have a chance at getting it, but after telling the attendant ( who was very polite ) the issue and him calling the manager (who was not so polite and had a real attitude) to assist, the manager (without even listening to the problem) stated that that machine is "ticket only" and he can't help at all, which is a complete lie.I could physically feel the broken flap just inside the shute and was able to hold it in place while my son played and got the prize that he wanted but honestly feel outraged that rather than just say the machines are broken that would rather lie to their customers and let them keep wasting their money, I sat and held the flap while my sone played for around 15-20 mins and not a single ticket came out of the machine so for the manager to say that machine is ticket only is ridiculous and a blatant lie

I have lived here for around 5 years now and the service is terrible I asked them to cut the tree 3 years ago as it was damaging the caravan walls on the outside, they still haven?t done it. I found it very disappointing that they have an indoor pool but it isn?t open in the winter so what is the point of building a new one when the kids that live there could play in it. Arcade is rigged as the machines just eat the money and don?t let you play the game, barely any of the machines actually work. I am quite let down that the catering and convenience facilities are never open and when they are they cost a lot of money and is quite overpriced.Nearby activities: There is a beach quite close to the caravan, there are three parks located around the caravan site, and they sometimes do activities in the clubhouse for kids and adult bingo as well, on special occasions like Halloween they do pumpkin carving but you usually have to buy your own pumpkin to bring. They have a new soft play near the pool but is barely open either.Walkability: It is a short walk to get to the club house and parks depending on which caravan you are staying in.Food & drinks: A bit overpriced and never open in the winter.

Beautiful holiday park. We went there for a long weekend and we took pet friendly caravan as we had a dog. The caravan smelled really badly of dog pee which was on the carpet and sofa. We request to change the caravan but was fully booked aparently. The cleaner tried to clean but the smell was still there so we wasn't happy at all. The holiday park shouldn't give a caravan in this condition. The other issue we had with a bartender called Joe. We got discriminated so badly. On our last night We were playing pool table with kids and we had our pregnant dog (labrador) laying there on the corner not bothering anyone. Bartender Joe came to us start telling us off regarding the dog can't be on that specific area. Bare in mind we were there every evening playing pool with our dog laying there and he never said anything. He was so rude so i had to take my pregnant dog to the caravan and leave her there. When i came back to the pool table area a group of people came there with a dog which was constantly barking and bartender Joe passed many times around and never said anything to them. Once i stood up and wanted to complain he saw me and went straight to the people and ask them to move. This was very humiliating and discriminating and very unprofessional. The bartender is called joe and he has tattoo on his arms and legs i believe so watch out. He shouldn't be working there. Otherwise we had amazing time.Rooms: Smelled of dog peeNearby activities: Very goodSafety: Very safe for kids

To everyone who is planning on booking a caravan at Dovercourt caravan site please read this first.Worst holiday park ever!!My children and I booked 4 nights at dovercourt where we usually stay and it turned out to be the WORST holiday ever we paid £429 to stay in a gold plus caravan and from the moment we checked in till we left I was In reception complaining due to spiders and other insects and cobwebs found In Our caravan. The crazy golf course was a disgrace it was covered in branches and twigs so there had been no attempt at clearing it and then the arcades which despite being small which we knew anyway over half of the machines was not working and we were constantly looking for staff to fix it or get out money back. Now despite all these problems I put in a complaint to park holidays via email with both video and photo evidence I had of the gold plus caravan, now bearing in mind I had paid £429 and mine and my children stay was ruined from day 1 all they would offer is a lousy £69. We would NEVER EVER go back.

We visited Dovercourt over the weekend. 08/09/2023 alongside, my daughter, her partner, 3yr old grandson & my husband. Sadly i have to say, i was quite dissapointed. I'm not sure if it was because its almost end of season, but, the caravan was in a very poor state. Staines on the carpets, very run down & really not a pleasure to be in. ConstNt smell of smoke. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had to sleep in. Tbh, the floor would probably have been more comfortable. Having owned my own caravan, i truely think Park holidays could have done a little better. My Step son would liked to have joined us with his family, just for the day, but were refused, for the sake of one child, who we were more than happy to have paid a day pass for... was still declined. Not too sure why as the campsite was relatively quiet. Very ? I am aware that it was one of the hottest weekends we have had, but most of the staff were extremely short & tbh, miserable. Tables in the clubhouse very sticky, grubby & service quite poor. I feel very sad for the very few staff, that looked like they enjoyed their jobs.I know i sound extremely pickie, but, i'm really not that sort of person. It is what it is, usually. We were just wanting a last minute fun weekend before my daughter gave birth to her no 2 baby, with some extended family. To my surprise, my heavily preganant daughter found several flees climbing up her ankles, & had to check her 3yr old over, in hope there were none on him.To top it all, we even had to strip our own beds, bag it up & pop it outside to be collected....Beautiful location, but sadly, campsite was very poor. Very little customer service. DISSAPOINTED.........

BEST DAY OF ARE LIFE. The staff member are sooo kind it was really good?we got one the jackpot in the arcade as the ticket and the prizes it 9000ticket for a very big jelly bean jar we only have 5000ticket so that great full. The best staff member will be dyanne. The entertainment what the best the best things about is hide and seek where the kid hind in the building but the rules are you not allowed to go upstairs no in the toilet no in the staff doors you are allowed to hind in the arcade but no hinding behind the mashines in the arcade all kid love it so really good

We booked couple of months in advance to get a reasonable deal. But just 1 week ahead of our holiday the prices was dropped to just 50%,We tried contacting the management via email phone call nothing promising was informedHence I would recommend to wait for last minute option it?s best and cheaper family with kids to consider this staycation as in Holiday park they have game arcade and live shows in evening. The beach is walking g distance.I
