Enjoyed a decent meal of excellent value for money and friendly staff. Food wasn?t exactly haute cuisine (would?ve preferred chips to crisps with my paninis and disappointed there was no seafood given its location, though the large breakfast menu looked tempting) but it was certainly well made for its kind, especially the Cointreau trifle. The experience was marred somewhat by surprisingly slow service for a modest-sized joint (although the paninis were just about worth the long wait), so overall 3.5/5, rounded to 4 as 3 would have been harsh.

I want to keep it a secret because its so amazingly good.. food is devine and worth every penny. Staff friendly and attentive and since its change of management and refurbishment its a little gem. Book to avoid disappointment.

Absolute top notch cooked breakfast. The food was delicious and hot with really good ingredients, local sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and lovely hash browns. They have a seriously professional coffee machine and my decaf was great. The service was so friendly too.

Had breakfast here for the first time under its new management. Food was very nice, staff were attentive and friendly to make it all a great experience.

We have now visited the restaurant for the breakfast on a Sunday morning and the fish and chips on Wednesday evening and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions, food was first class, the restaurant lovely and the staff friendly and welcoming, I look forward to trying one of the Thursday theme nights soon.

6 of usLet down at another pub for Sunday Roast, phoned late on the bank holiday Sunday and was greeted with a very helpful person who said if we got there by 3.30, he would fit us in. We arrived to a very busy bar and restaurant area, the staff were lovely and helpful. We sat outside after ordering as inside was packed out. Enjoying our drink and waiting for our food, it started to rain, so they moved us under cover and then just before the food they found us seating inside.The foodStunning! Cooked to perfection, the best beef roast I have ever had in a restaurantAll 6 of us agreedIt wasn?t expensive either 2 courses and a drink worked out at just over £22 per headWell done chef and bar staff you were amazing, we will definitely be back

I rang up to ask about fitting in a large group in and they were very accommodating. Set table up in the bar which we asked for. Lady behind the bar was lovely and welcoming. We ordered our food with a man and all the food came out looking amazing and tasted amazing. But one thing let them down. We asked about 3 of the same side with our Oder. Only one came out and the man said we only ordered one. We did order 3 but it wasn?t too much of a problem and was going to ask for 2 more of the same side, but the man serving us became very argumentative. Saying he took the order he should know and adamant we only ordered one. He seemed to be fairly angry about it. We then told the man it doesn?t matter we will make do. We were very shocked with how he became confrontational over it. As much as the food was lovely, this has put us off a bit. Can?t fault the ladies in the bar, they were lovely.
