Nice tea, great location. Busy cafe on a Sunday and full of dogs. Inc my sisters. Not lodging, only visiting family within marina.Walkability: Beautiful area for walks.Food & drinks: Lovely cafe, for hot food and drinks.Noteworthy details: Gorgeous weir. Provides nice backdrop for pics. Water runs fast through it and for kids it's fascinating to see.

Lovely stay in a 2 bed luxury hot tub lodge. Great location close to London with lots of things to do just a short train journey or drive away. Super easy to get to from central London and the staff are very friendly. The lodge was spotless, cosy and welcoming. This is a perfect hidden gem to get away with friends and family!

Over priced mooring and terrible managment. Don't listen to to boaters, building work has caused several people a lot of grief.

We carried out a delivery to a customer residing there, we were there for 20 minutes waiting for the customer and then dealing with them. We then recieved a penalty charge notice of £100. When ringing they said there are signs in the car park notifying you of the charges. What a shame companies like this exist, this is the problem with this country, comapnies trying to take every last penny even when they don't offer a service, just because they can. In that time we were waiting we did observe how badly kept the site was, maybe they should put some of there extortion money towards maintanance.

I moved to this marina back in 2018 where I lived aboard my narrow boat. When moving there the 1st year was or seemed really good. After that it started going downhill! The marina was taken over by its current owners and over the last 3 yrs it seems they have just been spending money to turn the marina into a floating council estate! In the last just over 3 yrs there has been paedophilea in the marina along with drug dealers. There has been police raids on boats seizing cash, drugs and fire arms. I became to realise that the so called Terms & Conditions the marina have in place are definitely not worth the paper they are written on!!! It?s also clear that homophobic abuse, verbal abuse and threats are tolerated by management as I was directly subject to it all and management just swept it under the carpet letting the person still remain in the marina. My husband and I always felt we could never be a proper couple off of our boat in the marina in case we were subject to further bullying, verbal abuse or even further homophobic abuse! My husband and I have been lucky as we managed to escape the clutches of the so called marina and are now living elsewhere back on land. The prices the marina charge for living on your boat there is way to expensive for a marina that?s in Essex! Basically the attitude of the marina is as far as they are concerned as long as you pay your mooring fees you can basically do what you want! There are ZERO background checks done on people before coming into the marina which is no surprise to why they have had so much trouble there over the last 3 yrs. if you are thinking of keeping a boat there or visiting the marina turn and run!! There are by far so much better and cheaper marinas around where management actually care about their customers!
