Me and my family went there for the first time today.We ended up buying sandwiches from the main supermarket (as my children have allergies), in addition to it being heavy rain outside.We sat in the restaurant upstairs, upon opening the sandwich for my 3 and 5yr old boys. We were told "you can't eat those in here" by the rude waitress.I asked where does it state that rule and that my boys have certain Allergies, only to be told "it doesn't"Wasn't impressed and appreciate there are rules and happy to abide, but when it's our first time visiting and it's not clearing stared anywhere I feel its pretty cold hearted of a staff member to ask my two young and hungry boys to eat else where.

Mark & Spencer at Southend on Sea is located very close to the Bus Station and the busy high street. It has the food mall and the clothing sections. Food mall has a variety of bakery items, fruits, juices, canned items, etc. high quality products. Like many other shops they also sell products specific to the occasions like Halloween, Christmas, etc.

Easy to access from the high street but steps to rear entrance. Menswear, ladies wear, foodhall, restaurant, toilet facilities, some homeward too

The person(s) that have decided on which self checkout system to buy, have clearly not used them or not been through the customer journey in a long time. M&S definitely wins the prize for worst self checkout system of all supermarkets.

I have always enjoyed a cappuccino in M&S but now they say at Southend they no longer have decaffeinated coffee what a disappointment.
