Poor staffing - queued at the checkout - ?the only one open?
for ages - 2 teenage managers on their phones not interested in the issues only their only fans pages - not that they can of been any good.. -( need to practice to look better than a plasterers radio love!! )
Felt really sorry for the of the poor staff member who struggled to even get their attention when issues arose.. sad but true.. shite service..

The store was busy, but managed to find most things, but the layout is weird.
The cafe was a whole different story. A 30 minute wait to get served in the first place; the lady on the till was doing her best. But the other till stood idle, while three members of staff stood around. The food we ordered took 25 minutes to arrive. It wasn?t even that busy by the look of it. Appreciate the kitchen could?ve been under pressure, but a notice saying ?There is a wait of x minutes for food? or ?Sorry about the long queue, we are extremely busy? wouldn?t have gone amiss. Very, very disappointed. Food when it finally arrived was hot, and fresh. The staff member that brought it over was apologetic about waiting for so long.

Café was disgraceful at 11.30am! Dirty tables everywhere and customers unable to use tray racks as they were full and dirty too! Food took twenty five minutes to arrive and barely warm on arrival.

Usually love this store, but have been completely fobbed off by the home delivery service.
Booked for a delivery 7:30-8:30 all confirmed by email. I received a missed call from the driver at 8, which I called back to confirm I was at home. Which I did, he then hung up on me mid sentence when I asked if he was on his way. It got to 9:30 still no delivery, called the driver no answer.
When I contacted customer service it was blamed on my default address being the shops own address. When I ordered my shopping I know I entered my home address. If it defaulted to the shops address why didn?t the system send me a notification? If the driver had only the shops address why would he call to check if I was at home?
The only feedback I got was a sorry, and we?ll give you a refund.
I don?t want a refund, I just want my shopping redelivered.
When I said I would like to take this further. I was told to rest assured it was being processed to improve their system.

I can?t believe you can sell sausages that the use by date is the same day, not reduced because of this either ?

What have you done to this store ( tollgate )? You have halved the cafe , it now looks like a dirty wimpy from the 80?s . Cutlery filthy , tables filthy and had to ask for them to be cleaned ?. 3 meals being advertised included turkey ?. However you had no turkey ( you regularly don?t have what you advertise ) . The meal you served my daughter was an embarrassment ( I?ve taken a photo ) the other day you had no sandwiches for the children lunch bag but wouldn?t offer an alternative . It?s a covid pandemic and the place is filthy . The store was badly stocked , no deli , no fish ?. You are not a budget supermarket but you now look like one . Appalling ?.

One of the best Sainsbury's I've been in, first class.
