Good selection of items. Friendly staff.

If I could zero stars I actually would. Although the store itself is clean and tidy with half decent products how the staff handle customers that need help with self checkout is actually disgusting and a little disappointing. Monday 27/11 at aprox 10:10am a lady asked how to scan her co op card, it didn?t go unnoticed the eye roll and annoyance that you have to move and do you job. Myself and another customer actually moved to help her before the paid staff did, 3 self checkouts only in use, all having trouble and you got annoyed because you were asked to do your job? Staff back on checkouts

Better quality meals and food than a lot of supermarkets and too food stores in my opinion. Slightly dearer than a lot but worth it

The Co op at Downend Bristol has a huge car park with lanes marked for a family car with children and others for blue badge holders, disabled people but there are no marking that help show the direction of traffic going in or out . The store inside is well stacked, clean with amble space in the lanes for people on wheelchairs or with children but the outside is neglected. The beutiful seating area outside is dirty, both the seats and the floor needs cleaning. The container marked for donated clothes and shoes to be collected by the Salvation Army is full to the brim and there are more plastic bags full of clothing items next to the container that seems not to be emptied for a long time. There are pleasant flowers planted in the entrance of the store.

I bought some honest value potatoes today and one potato was only half a potato and totally black and rotten. I think this is unacceptable. You should be honest ?these potatoes are cheap because one is rotten? just a thought they are called ? honest value potatoes??.

What can I say, it's a supermarket, found a bottle of wine. Don't shop here very much as its rather expensive for most things. It's okay for a buying things if you are passing by.

Atmosphere was ok. Service was ok, but more average than exceptional. Food was disappointing. Garlic mushrooms were very oily. Lamb chops were over cooked and had little meat, with far too much sauce (perhaps to cover them up!). Salmon was also completely overwhelmed with sauce. Side veg was over cooked. Keen to support local, but local does need to deliver on the basics!

One of our favourite restaurants! The staff are just lovely and so friendly. Food is always wonderful and we just have a great time whenever we visit. Especially recommend the steaks, carbonara and lasagne - well everything really ???

I was babysitting for my little granddaughter who is six years old and she wanted to go to this restaurant for an evening meal because her brother and sister had had a takeaway from there, and she felt that she had missed out! I must say that we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We just had a pizza each and they were absolutely delicious, thin crust, not too much topping just as it should be. Will certainly be back, local restaurants like this need to be supported. Well done.

We are locals who revisited this Italian after some 5 years from when we were last here. The food was delicious - credit to the chef. However there were a number of things that left us so disappointed with the experience that we have decided we will not be returning. Despite pre-booking, we were seated on the one available small table for 2 which they squeezed in by the door, meaning that people were shuffling past us all night and we were getting wooshes of cold air each time people arrived or left. The staff were friendly to begin with. However I was brought white wine instead of red initially (albeit swiftly corrected), then I asked for a jug of water with the meal, which never arrived. We finished our mains and waited for a very long time to be offered the dessert menu and/or coffees but it never came until we talked ourselves out of having a dessert. When we left my partner paid the bill and added a tip but the waiter simply grunted and went quickly on to another table without even a "enjoy the rest of your evening" or "thank you for coming" or any other pleasantry. It doesn't take much does it? So we saw ourselves out and went to the nearby Mezze to have more drinks and console ourselves on a rather deflating experience on the most romantic night of the year!

Lots for sale but annoyingly not what I was looking for. Wide range of foodstuffs but now concentrating on convenience foods.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. I immediately felt happy to eat here after highlighting my allergy. I was offered a large choice of the menu, including adaptation if I preferred something else. I chose a Veal meal which was delicious, not greasy and full of flavour. The service was excellent and attentive but not too imposing. The atmosphere was friendly and lively and the food was served quickly and efficiently. Will definitely be returning in the future with others we recommend.
