I bought a lovely looking pair of boots last november. Westland, by josef seibel. After only very light use , about twice a week for four months tewy have fallen to bits. The sole pulled away from the upper on both feet even though the fit was perfect, no squeezing. The patina has started disintegrating. Pics attached show where i have had to glue the hole.Inspite of my having the boirs and a transaction statement from the bank john lewis refused a refund saying they would need proof of exactly what i purchased for £89.99. The store obviously could trace my transction and the item purchased through my debit card details but they refuse to. Neither the product nor the service are what i would expect from a reputable store. Rubbish

Store is nice and has plenty of nice (but rather expensive) things. However the staff really hassle you in the technology section. Got approached 3 times in less than a minute. I know they can?t always know if you?ve been approached but they really get onto you. It?s been like that every time I?ve visited (20+)

Asked for fragrance samples that said there was none then 2 seconds later gave a 5ml bottle to someone for free they lie and they discriminate don?t go to this awful shop

Great store over 4 floors, free parking & all wheelchair accessible. Lovely little coffee shop in the basement & a brilliant restaurant on the top floor. Nice for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & snacks. Staff are so helpfull across the store, nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend a visit...this is exactly how a department store should be.

I drove for an hour to get 4 products which the website said were in stock in this branch. When I got there, 3 of the items weren't there. I asked the floor assistants and they didn't help, just pointed me in the vague direction. Will just use Amazon next time. Shops - this is how you lose trust and lose customers. If you're customer service is bad and you website makes false promises, people won't come back.

Terrible customer service if u can even call it that. As always, happy to take ur money but as soon as there?s an issue, do not think John Lewis are going to do what they claim. It?s just a bunch of words they use to lure u into giving them money and don?t actually follow through with their promises.DO NOT USE THEIR CURTAIN MEASURING & FITTING SERVICE!!!It?s overpriced, takes months, and they cause damage on installation

We had the good fortune to call into this 'place to eat' today. Julia saw us waiting in such a long queue and came to advise us all on what was available. We asked was there gluten free soup and she looked through her allergen list. There was soup for us but I had already checked and saw there were a couple of GF sandwiches. She brought us the sandwiches and then took us to be served for drinks. Extraordinary attention to detail which was very much appreciated. Thank you
