Over the last year they have only once been able to complete an online order with 76 hours of the order being Authorised by my Doctors practice.Various reasons given are:?our supplier is out of stock??The supplies only arrived last night??Short of staff?I witnessed other customers being ?shorted? on there supply of medication such as Lansoprazole.Whilst I am able to go elsewhere many others can?t.

I was extremely disappointed at the staff members attitude as they showed little interest in offering advise regarding my 20 month Grandchild?s health condition .The pharmacist failed to even come and look at by Granddaughter?s rash .I am used to pharmacies that offer much greater care , advice and service .

I went into the chemist today to pick up my prescription and was ushered into a consultation room with the Pharmacist to discuss...
I have never met this gentleman before and he did not formally introduce himself. Instead telling me he was working with the NHS to gather information. Asking me intimate details on very personal background medical history and blood test results. The thing is, Badham Pharmacist Ltd exist as a private company NOT part of the NHS and has no rights to my medical history: if he had any right to this information, such as Hba1c results, they would be provided to him directly by the National Health Service.
This was not a general ask of is everything okay with your repeat prescription. The Pharmacist was unable to explain his purpose any further than repeating, â??It is not for this.â? Why exactly does he want this information? What will the information be used for? Who will this information be shared with? How will he store this Very Private and personally sensitive data to keep it secure?
A Private Pharmacy is not my Diabetes Consultant or Diabetes Nurse, or NHS GP, hence why he does not have access to this information directly from the NHS. And also why him taking details from me would be of no use to the NHS.
All of this appears to come down to gathering sensitive information for the purpose of marketing. And the manner in which Badham Pharmacy Ltd chooses to extract this information does not meet the simplest guidelines of Doctor, Patient confidentiality. This interview was also made to feel compulsory in order to continue provision of fulfilling prescriptions for medication.
On requesting details to make an official complaint, I was refused clear contact details and handed a scribbled down phone number with no corresponding name. â?? So they want my private medical details but they wonâ??t give me the contact name for their complaints department?
This matter is being forwarded onto the Information Commissioners Office, due to poor adherence to GDPR and data protection laws. I will also discuss with my Diabetes Consultant.

Paul Cathcart
