Good store with friendly people and staff. Although it could be a little bigger as I wouldn?t really class it as a superstore, it?s more like a Tesco metro.

A very poor supermarket for a town the size of Thornbury. A poor selection at the best of times, but whomever is in charge of stock control and re-ordering needs retraining. Rarely are we able to tick off everything on the shopping list.Occasionally, it is clear that one of the 'yoof' staff members has been put in charge of the song selection and volume button for the piped music.

It's ok generally has what you need but at times seem to have low or no stock of some items in foodstuffs. I.e. randomly there will be a whole section of the cheese missing or some meats. Also no longer have a fresh fish counter which is really bad.

Clean well looked after store. Staff friendly and helpful, had most things that one would shop for.

Bought some bread that was dry and tough, took it back the next day and was told that they could not replace without a receipt. Despite the fact that when you buy it they ask you if you want a receipt so it's clearly optional. I bought it using my clubcard and told them that according to their website if you dont have the receipt they can scan your clubcard to replace. They denied knowledge of this fact. In the end I just left the bread with them and left the shop. I have spent hundreds if not more there recently and this is how they treat you. Unbelievable. Needless to say its the last time I am shopping there.

Sometimes I feel this tescos is on the end of line delivery route and we just don?t get a good varied selection and often the shelves are poorly stocked. Now it?s had a refurbishment let?s hope it improves. Compared to many other supermarkets it?s a bit poor stock wise. Staff are great though.

They have been through a recent refurbishment but that just means it is new chillers that are empty as they seem incapable of stocking shelves. The refurb has also changed around the order of where things are in the store with no discernible rhyme or reason so be prepared to go up and down every aisle to find what you need.

Not a superstore. Poor range and not the lower priced items. The only other choice in Thornbury is Aldi and i choose that over Tesco every time - that's saying something!! Could be so much better.

Usually between 10am-3pm at least 3 people waiting for food to be scanned and paid for. Queues to use the selfcheckout and not as full as most tescos. Still a good place- not always the cheapest but decent quality

Not happy with pay situation down there go to pay by cash and I can?t because the only self service on on card only and the Tesco in Chepstow does it all in one

Oh dear what has happened at Tesco. I should start by saying that the staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly.\\n\\nBut there are so many things with the store itself.\\n\\nFirstly the stock levels are terrible, you often can't find things in stock (occasionally really obvious stuff like eggs). When the heatwave was here there was no ice cream (see point 2). Apparently they don't stock the shelves overnight like they used to. Result empty shelves\\n\\nSecondly, the freezers are always breaking down. So often there is very little frozen produce that you can buy. During the heatwave the freezers were mostly non functional - so no ice cream (what an opportunity cost). Apparently the store is 25 years old and the freezers will be replaced in January (let's hope they don't break down over Christmas or we could be without Turkey)\\n\\nThirdly (this one affects all Tesco stores). When we have very heavy rain, the roof leaks. This seems to be a problem with lots of Tesco stores.\\n\\nTesco made enough profit during the pandemic, the least they could do is spend some money on the store; and they really need to sort their stock levels out (I now have to shop elsewhere to get plenty of what I consider normal products because they're no longer stocked or out of stock).

can no longer be trusted for frozen food.\\n\\nI have had food that has clearly thawed and been refrozen. staff can be seen either emptying or re filling the freezers as they break down. Tesco said was originally due to hot weather but the problems are deeper. New freezers due in Jan 23 I am told. till then I will get my frozen food elsewhere.\\n\\nThornbury deserves better!
