They are rude, I got there no one came to help me, when I said there was a service, they told me to leave the car there, everyone was eating at the reception, my car was there all day to do a service, when I called at 4: 00 in the afternoon they informed me that I hadn't already done it because the booking hadn't been marked on the computer (due to some error on their part or from Motoreasy)

Awful. Go elsewhere. I took my car here and explained what had happened. They quoted me £200. £1000 later they said they?d fixed what I needed and more. Only for the problem to carry on. They then claimed it was an air lock. Then? a couple of days later my car breaks down with a problem they were supposed to have fixed but didn?t. £500 later my initial problem was fixed by a decent garage. Awful service, they don?t care about your car. Just about making more money. Horrendous. Do not use.

Avoid going at all cost and do not waste your time here. I booked for full service and MOT in advance to be then called to rebook for another date with no explanation.I take my car in for the services early morning, I then get a call that my MOT failed and there?s a couple of issues with my car which needs replacing and I was pressured into paying for the repairs. I had to so no 5/6 times until I had my brother talk on the phone for me instead.In the end of the phone call I was told service need?s hasn?t finished and my MOT failed which is strange because I?ve never failed it.Hours later I went to pick up my car with my husband and the works didn?t discuss further about my car Because I rejected their ?extra repair work needed, trying to get money out of me.I went to a different garage for 2nd opinion and I was told nothing was wrong with my car especially the issues Halfords raised and my MOT PASSED!!!Absolute cons I am requested full refund and making sure that no one falls into this trap. I called up becuase I needed evidence of the service work done on my car, I was told I will be emailed in the next few mins . An hour late I called and I was told it will take a bit longer and a day later will no service report paper work sent to me.How do I even know that work was done my car etc.I have to call again and if I don?t receive it then for sure there is dodgy work going on there

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!Okay I need to first credit them for being friendly and polite but in terms of actual expertise they have absolutely no idea what they?re talking about!I brought in my perfectly running car for an mot and the next thing I knew, there was a long list of issues that they failed my mot on. I don?t know if they were trying to get more money out of me for unnecessary things or if they really just did not have the expertise to know the difference between something being old and it being actually broken.They said my bonnet was broken and wouldn?t lock. I NEVER had this issue before going to them. Now the warning light keeps coming on saying it?s not closed and the bonnet was loose.They said one of my seatbelts was broken and I?ve never had any passengers so how would it break on its own?They listed a whole host of other issues which didn?t make sense.I then took it to a local mechanic that a friend recommended who said the bonnet lock just needed a bit of grease and it?s not actually faulty and it shut perfectly after that. The seatbelt and everything else they listed was in fact not faulty and passed my MOT without issues!At least they kindly processed a refund for the car service I no longer wanted after seeing that they had no clue what they?re actually doing.

You book services and MOTs in advance only to be notified on the day that it is cancelled. This has happened on multiple occasions this year and last. Excuses vary from faulty equipment to staff Sicknesses. They run on miminum numbers and unreliable people. Cost cutting is the priority over service provision at this branch. Avoid.

I had a positive experience at Halfords when I brought in my car with an engine warning light the other day. Although they couldn't resolve the issue themselves, they generously topped up my oil free of charge and provided a complimentary diagnosis. Their thoughtful assistance during a stressful situation was greatly appreciated.

Absolute scam. Went for Major service and MOT which failed and was given several advisories, they wanted to charge me over £600 for repairs! Went to a garage 5minutes down the road to redo MOT and have second opinion the next day - 1minor advisory about rear seatbelt which I knew about (but Halfords never mentioned) and MOT PASSED. Will never go back here. Glad I paid the extra £40 for a second opinion rather than trusting this place and paying £600!!Service: Vehicle safety inspection

OMGMade a 2.30 appointment they started replacing tyres at 4.30 said they would call they didn?tI called said it was ready it was notThey really could not have done more to show they didn?t give a damnTwo stars because the tyres are fineNever again, Kwik fit next time
