Went to get bed sheets from the Argos inside Sainsbury's. I searched on the tablet for what I wanted which was annoying as the ones that said they were available in-store were available but not in the size I wanted (king-size). Luckily as I had walked in I saw some on the shelf. Upon further inspection they were reduced and I ended up buying a single and a kingsize jersey material, really soft duvet covers. Happy I went, I would say if you are only going to Argos check online first or you may not get what you want.

It is particularly loathsome that the store wants shoppers to scan their receipt in order to leave the store. Their reasoning for this is to curb shoplifting. Presumably this is shoplifting by people who can't afford their hyper-inflated prices owing to cost of living crises. The same hyper-inflated prices that have led to record profits for Sainsbury's whilst many are suffering real time food poverty and more.Nice move Sainsbury's. Avoid and don't give this bog standard supermarket chain your custom. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

The shop is too small, it doesn't have a Tu and the car park is really small. Grocery wise its good and it's more of a corner shop vibe.

Im sick and tired of having to wait for your staff to finish gossiping. I used to do this job for 7 years, please train them and teach them to treat customers right. There is one lad always running around the self check out to cover all the girls while they talk, give him a raise while you?re there. So annoying. I?ll just go to Tesco up in Clapham South now

It?s big sainsburys innit. Huge selection, lots of self checkouts places, and a great reduced section. Not a massive homeware department, but Argos and TK Maxx are close if you need. I do my weekly shop here every week and it never disappoints.

Nice wine selection, bakery and cheese. The shop seems to always be stocked up. Its not massive though but everything can be found there.I wish it had more sustainable products and fruit that is not packed in plastic but I guess it's the Sainsburys management that should decide it.It think it would be amazing to make a market style in the veggie aisle.

Easy to get to supermarket in a great location. Plentiful car parks and wide selection of groceries.Would recommend if you live near the area.

Good produce but sad to say this is a prime example of how retail in the UK can be guilty of offering an inferior shopping experience to those that prefer to shop in the last hour or two. Not only was there that usual harried undertone but - and this actually might have helped them get rid of the last customers quicker - would have been not blocking even a narrow path down the aisles by the amount of and layout of ill-thought through stacking crates everywhere. I was also disallowed from buying certain items as it was too late - not an issue for me, once I know I accept this without question. There's no need for this information to be barked loudly by multiple staff, as if girding for a verbal fight. Just please calmly explain the situation and allow the possibility that your regular customer is reasonable enough to accept and get on with their evening. I am not a child nor looking for an argument. It's a shame because I am sure the staff are actually great and lovely people and probably super helpful at all other times of the shift. I got that feeling, despite the above, and the staff usually are good at Sainsbury's. Perhaps it's the fault of the company not paying for enough staffed time for the jobs needing doing after doors close making it quite stressful for them at closing time?

Conveniently located close to Balham station. The store is a good size, but isn?t a super-store, good variety of products available for a central convenience store. Great that there is a car park on site too.

What a shame Sainsbury's. I have done my main family shop with you for years but from today I will not return. This morning not a single one of the 3 remaining tills was manned resulting in me having to self scan a large trolley of groceries. This is awful service and I will take my business elsewhere from today. I was not the only once complaining.

This store has two entrances at either end so its layout is a bit chaotic. Fine if you are a local and get used to it but awful if you only pop in a few times a year.

The store is nice has toilets by door but the new system of having to scan receipt is not good. Please stop this ASAP otherwise I'll just push my way though barrier out of principle. Aside from this store is big and has parking.

I often shop in this Balham branch, have been a customer since 2009. The one thing that I do not like here is the condition of the toilets: atrocious it is. The toilet paper holder is missing from the wall, no soap available, very unhygienic. Avoid if you can. Sainsbury's should be ashamed of not upgrading the toilets

Large Sainsburys with good service. Fruit could be fresher, esp the berries which always seeem to be on their last legs.
