2 stars only because the shop I large. However no choice of NIVEA deodorants for men. Really? You know that NIVEA is making lots of different ones yes?

Horribly busy on weekends, dirty, often put of the most common products and ingredients halfway through the day (don't even bother at night), huge queues at self checkouts, can never find staff to help with constantly changing item locations, both produce scales frequently out of paper for loose items. If Waitrose weren't a lot more expensive, I'd avoid this bad supermarket entirely. At least it's cheaper.

You have to park all the way on the other side and there is no entrance there so you have to carry your heavy shopping all the way back

Nice and quiet around this time of morning (9-10am)

The queues in Waitrose next door move faster, have alert staff, and you aren't made to feel like a suspect on exit. The food is also better quality and often cheaper, and no need to sell your data to get that item for the price it should be selling for anyway. So I shop there, after many years of being a fan of sainsburys.

I like this shop for shopping for one person. Can't say that the choice is bigger than in the one in Dalston, but it always has some home useful stuff (for sewing, cooking, celebrating). Also it has "All Day Breakfast" ready meal, which I can't find anywhere else. Pleasant stuff at self-checkout (and cashiers), always helpful, sometimes humorous :)

I don't like Sainsbury's when is crowded but prefer it at quiet times, which is very early in the mornings with less people. You have the freedom to browse without pressure.

Just arrived at Sainsbury Islington to do a weekly shop and found that customers can now only park for 1 HOUR MAXIMUM with a £100 POUND FINE for over staying with no exemptions for disabled customers, this timeframe is nowhere near enough to do a weekly shop when having to queue at busy checkouts. So I just drove away without stopping to shop.Previously customers were given 2 hours to shop which was adequate, this new system will only force customers away from an already failing shop to other retailers such as Tesco with a fairer car parking policy. The conclusion is if you use your car to shop at Sainsbury?s Islington don?t bother go somewhere else.

Sainsburys are clearly looking to close this store, they have made it a frought process if you are driving , even if you are able bodied. Disabled drivers/ parents of young children are given an impossibley short amount of time to get around the store, visit the unmanned tills, and get back to the carpark before your £100 fine is issued. Is this not entrapment? It takes AGES to process your shop on the selfscan/pack tills.Or is it just this: VISIT OUR STORE, AND YOU ARE LIABLE TO PAY US ANOTHER £100 ON TOP OF YOUR SHOP.I have shopped here for 30 years, notice I said that in the PAST tense, Mr Sainsbury.

No any entrance from the car park, a bit far but only 1 hour for parking.A small shop in city-centre, less products, crowded, some fresh food quality are not good enough. Long time for queuing (and rush back to car park!)I usually go large Sainsbury's in retail park, that is good. Not suggest this store.

If you go by car you need to park on the back of the store and walk 3 mins to the store. Not easy to go back to your car with a heavy trolley. The parking has a limit of 1h free.. not enough to do a shopping! Careful!

My nephew who is artistic accidentally threw his stress ball on top of a freezer. The kind members of staff were very helpful to retrieve the ball by getting a ladder..I?m super thankful!!

Welcome to London's most depressing mega supermarket. Lighting so dim, you think you're losing vision. Staff with hygiene issues who have worked there for years. Merchandising and stocking seems like you're in some post-apocalyptic movie. And at Christmas, music blasting so loud you think you're at a rave. Floors yellow from when it opened in the '80's (?) Once I scan my receipt in the new barriers that trap you until you scan to get out, I run for my life.

Used to be able to park for 2 hours when spending £20, now the limit is 1 hour which just is not enough when doing a weekly shop. I can do without the sense of jeopardy as to whether I can pick everything up and get through one of the rapidly diminishing number of manned checkouts without a £100 fine. Add this to the closure of the door nearest the car park and the need to scan a receipt to leave, and I just feel unwelcome now. All a bit sad really, as I will go elsewhere after being a customer for many years.

smartshop is great but if majority of self checkouts aren't open what's the point? colleague staring blankly into space not directing customers, queue building and not moving, receipts dont read to get out of the shop, nightmare!!
