Would give this branch 0 if that were possible. It was originally great- clean, helpful. Now it is dirty, the counter service is impossibly slow but because HSBC has only 3 locations in Central London with tellers, their clients are stuck dealing with this. It is actually depressing to go here. Avoid if you can.

This HSBC Branch is excellent. Phil was extremely helpful and fast and was able to answer all my questions and attend to all the international banking transactions and Account openings that needed to be done.

I was depositing cash there just recently. Sadly, being right outside a major London railway station, there are a lot of homeless people who are also drug misusers. This within the immediate vicinity.Double-checking before going to the service area made me a crime waiting to happen and WITHIN the bank. Why so?I looked around and they have NO security in situ. This was later confirmed by staff members. There was some in place previously, in 2022.Meantime as I was counting (sat where you can) a homeless man who had prescribed drugs just given him, came and sat also. Another homeless person (by the smell and disheveled appearance) came in behind him. Shortly followed by one other.The first, with his prescription drugs was too out of it to notice my banking/counting. The other 2 soon did and lost interest in him, to sit right by me and too eagerly so.I scooped up hastily but there is nowhere else to sit! The automatic glass doors open directly onto the wide and open street.Two staff members did nothing to engage with them let alone attempt to remove same. Later, they left of their own volition, having completed zero transactions I might add. I felt very vulnerable.

Lost my bank card hence had my replacement sent to this branch as I was away on a business trip. Staff are helpful and made a big difference at a hectic time.No issues, collected my card, changed PIN , top marks and total stress free.

Staying nearby and used the cash machine, said I had the money and to wait for the receipt, no money at all but a receipt, checked my account and the money was debited, after reading the reviews of the customer service i am dreading going back tomorrow morning as I only have about 1 hour before I have to leave not being located in the uk ?

Like the majority, I barely go into a branch now as near enough 99.9% of banking can be done online now. Firstly, it?s very good to have a HSBC branch close to the Westminster/Victoria area and this branch is in an excellent location. I was told over the phone by customer services that I would need to go to my local branch to sort out an issue with my Advance Account. The staff provided excellent customer service and were very friendly and helpful! Despite the branch being very busy, the staff took their time and were very patient with my enquiry. They were very professional and answered all my queries in great detail. They also advised me of the offers HSBC have so I can maximise the potential out of my HSBC account. I recently decided to switch banks as many people told me about their positive experiences with HSBC, and I have not looked back since! Overall, I highly recommend this branch to you, and the staff are very friendly and polite!

Staff being dishonest to their complaints handler leigh sayi g I was ever in branch well that's funny as the tall gentleman at the stand help place booked me In with his ipad and I waited over half an hour but they saying I wasn't there go figure...Terrible bank left me with no online banking for months staff abused me over my choice of phone and I also had to call them 21 tiles over 3 weeks where they kept telling mistruths and Making excuses if your thinking of opening an HSBC account my advice probably many others is don't if they spent more time looking after customers and disabled customers and Less time stroking their egos and money laundering for crime syndicates etc then it would be a better bank

ATM debited my account but did not dispense any cash. I went to get an associate, they told me it wasn?t something they handled and told me to take it up with my bank?s fraud department if I thought I?d been wronged. I asked if I could file an incident report or talk to someone who could, as I had a receipt and a video of the machine whirring in spasm and saying to take the cash without the cash dispense door opening, they said it wasn?t an option and again, to contact my fraud department if I felt like I?d been wronged.There are cameras all over the building, it should be easy to confirm that no money was dispensed. Poor staff response and poor general service. Very upsetting.

On 22.09.2022 I applied to Belgravia Branch with a request to activate my online banking. The employee Simon was very professional and courteous in solving my problem and answering all my questions. I am very pleased with the service received. I would like to thank Simon for his work.
