Want clothes that fall apart after a few months? Want clothes that change colour after being dry-cleaned (even though the label inside says dry-clean only)? Want white shirts that come with indelible black marks on them? This is the shop for you. Want good quality garments? Go elsewhere.
Update
Having made a complaint, M&S executive office staff showed a gross lack of knowledge of UK consumer rights law and were both obstructive and unco-operative. It would appear that they believe M&S to be above the law and can make its own rules. Eventually, I received a refund of part of the purchase price of the shoddy goods I had purchased, but I will never shop at M&S again.

This is my local grocery store, so I really appreciate having it next door. I think the produce and meat and cheese are at a good standard. It works very well for my day to day shops. However they are not so good at stocking some important basics like spices, brown sugar or various other ingredients needed for baking or any specific recipe. I can sometimes find more of these things at Waitrose, though I often need to leave the Victoria area altogether to find basics. Both grocery stores cater almost exclusively to the office workers in the area, leaving a slightly underserved market for the rapidly growing residential population here. The reality is that we need a larger grocery store on the St James side of Victoria as it's quite a slog to go all the way to Sainsburys on Wilton Road. I really wish M&S would ditch most of its clothing retail, but not the excellent cards and wrapping paper, to make space for a proper butcher's counter and more basics. Also, just a small comment. M&S actually carries some pretty good wine which I buy and drink regularly. I would take it to my friends as well if they would not insist on putting M&S labels on it. Some of the bottles are expensive and I really don't want to spend more than £15 on a bottle with a store brand label.

Ok store, a bit on the small side, has tried to have a little bit of absolutely everything rather than just focusing on the clothes. The food hall is not tiny though and would probably serve most M&S customers for a few days.
Has a cafe but the toilets...they need an upgrade. Seriously! Don't get me wrong I'm glad they exist at all, but they need help!

Small shop, not a huge selection clothes wise. Very pleasant staff, especially handsome young man I spoke to at the meat/fish section. Very helpful, we discussed fresh farm eggs. I went in to buy some food for dinner. Nice selection of foods.

Biggish store- right next to Victoria station, behind where the BT offices used to be (I think and even if I am right probably doesn't matter to most!!! :D). V convenient unless you have a car and in which case it's a pain. Very helpful staff . Large selection of suits which is what I was looking for but unfortunately not the right sizes. Anyway good to know it's here and could be useful in future.
