Visited for a birthday lunch. Our waiter was Ash and he was so helpful, advising on the m egg by and also helping with an allergy. He was absolutely delightful. Thank you! Thank you also to Chris the manager for calling us ahead of time to check the allergies. A great experience!!!

We arrived a few minutes early and were told that our table was not quite ready and that we could wait at the bar. We waited and waited and had the feeing that we were being ignored. There was no customer care and the whole initial experience of this place was unwelcoming. Not a good first impression. Eventually, we were shown to a table and the lady who served us was very nice and the food was quite nice, but I wouldn't say anything special. The music was horribly loud and we found it difficult to chat to each other and to understand what the waitress was telling us. Music is fine but this was ridiculously loud for a restaurant. We ordered a dessert to share and then were presented with a couple of mochi cut up with a congratulations sign on it and when I asked what this was for, the waiter looked nonplussed and shrugged his shoulder. By this point I had decided not to accept the 'discretionary' service charge -13.5% Immediately, the atmoshere changed and a number of people came round to ask what the problem was. The sooner people make the point about bad service and not accept this ridiculous addition to the bill, the better. The response from the servers was intimidating. The lady who served us was given a cash tip for her service but as for the remaining service, a lot was left to be desired. Nice decor but what is more important is that you give good service and when you don't, apologise and don't automatically add the ridiculous service charge and challenge the customer . There is a lot of choice as to where people eat and choose to spend their money and you shouldn't take things for granted. Your front of house staff need to be properly trained and if customers choose not to pay the discretionary service charge this should be their prerogative and they should not be challenged and intimidated.

I visited the Ivy Asia in Mayfair on Friday 22 September 2023 to check if out for friends I was meeting next month. I had not booked a table but at 1pm it was fairly empty. The woman at the reception desk was unfriendly, took ages checking the computer for a table, which we were advised we could only have for an hour and a half. We were asked to wait at the bar for her colleague who would show us to our table. Nothing happened for a few minutes. Then a woman turned up at the reception desk and chatted to the receptionist ignoring us at the bar. The member of staff serving at the bar went over to advise her that we were waiting. The private conversation between staff continued. We were eventually escorted to our table in the near empty restaurant. A waiter came up, very uncivil and unhelpful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but the service did not match the decor. We got up and left before ordering. No response from the woman on reception when we left. Very disappointing.

The worst meal I've had in years. Took a client for lunch today. Very slow service, mostly ignored at the bar, couldn't get soy sauce for love nor money, half the food arrived, the other half was then taken to sit at a table with nobody on it where it sat for 30 minutes (unbeknownst to us). When chased, I was told a fresh dish would be 10-15 minutes, it was 30-40. Having paid for everything at the start (never again!!) because I knew I might have to run off, the waiter chased me down the road to tell me I hadn't paid. I told him I'd paid him at the start which he agreed. Then left in the rain and was then called back by the manager who told me I hadn't paid for everything. I showed her the receipt for everything. Not even an apology. Honestly the most embarrassing meal I've ever had.

Good Mayfair location set away from the Main Street. Once inside, the decor strikes you, it?s a mix of 1920?s speakeasy with Asian influences and modern instagrammable highlights. The service was impressive - attentive yet discreet. The food was well made, hot, plentiful and very flavoursome. Cocktails were lovely. Very busy for a Monday lunchtime so would recommend making a reservation.

Beautiful decor ruined by aggressive waitress who kept rushing us to order and finish so they could keep turning round as many tables as possible! We were told to order either mains or desserts but not both! No Customer Service skills whatsoever. The Manager came to apologise later however by then the mood was ruined and to top it all off it was very sub par food for the prices they charge. Will not be going again! Roka is right opposite on the other side of the road and a million times better in every way?..

Had an amazing meal at the ivy Asia Mayfair yesterday. The food and drinks were all delicious and the service was fantastic, couldn?t fault anything. It was so lovely that they gave us a free pudding for my boyfriend?s birthday! Will definitely be back.

Had an amazing time here with my mum, we where served by a lovely gentleman, I think his name was Matteo - he was very helpful as me and my mum are vegetarians so it was nice to have someone who could tell us everything about the menu and the ingredients. 10/10 would recommend the presentation is absolutely brilliant as well, hats off to the chefs and everyone in the kitchen who prepared our food.

Went to celebrate wedding anniversary. Alejandro was super efficient and helpful when choosing what to eat/drink and the overall experience was great.
