Got a new battery installed here followed by an MOT. They forgot to clamp the battery in place. The car broke down a few days ago as the terminals had come loose due to the battery bouncing around. Could have been very dangerous if the loose terminal came in contact with any metal. The fact they didn't spot it on the MOT immediately after fitting the battery is also quite worrying. Getting very little response from customer services about fixing the issue. Unbelievable incompetence all round. AVOID.

Completely waste of time.I booked an appointment for wheel alignment through the online platform. I arrived on time and stopped outside the garage entrance only to be told off very rudly by one of the mechanics.I went to the reception to ask for my appointment and the very kind staff explained to me that they don't do wheel alignment in their store and the only available store is in Croydon.Absolutely waste of time not to mention the very rude mechanic.Definitely not recommended.

So, I bought a 1.5-year-old EV from Car Giant and have concerns about the tires, brakes, and overall condition. I received a ?tyre pressure warning? just 2 minutes after driving the car on the road, so I had to take it back to Car Giant for a ?fix.? The next morning, I discovered that the four tires came from three different makers. This raised my overall concerns about Car Giant?s credibility.After contacting Car Giant, they mentioned that they have an account with Halfords and suggested I take the car there for a free full check-up. I proceeded to make an appointment with them over the phone for the full check-up.Upon arriving at Halfords, they agreed only to check the tires for depth and the brakes, refusing to inspect other parts because ?I didn?t express any concerns.? After approximately 10 minutes of checking, Halfords verbally informed me that tyres and brakes appeared to be fine. The tires hadn?t reached the legal depth limit, and the noisy brakes were due to rust. They said if I keep driving it for 100 miles should clean the rust. I then told him I?ve already driven it for over 100 miles. He then said just keep driving until it?s cleaned.They also declined to provide a written report, stating that because it is a car giant check up, who has an account with them, thus, no report issued. A checkup without a report? That sounds very dodgy!!!The technician is friendly.

People without experienceThe use inpact driver for everything ther torque keys the are no name brand proper waste of money I don?t recommended wheel alignment with them if you ask them for showing parameters the will take ages like first time the use this machine but off course the will charge you money for job not done properlyStill I wait for my bolts since April !!!!!!!! 4 monthsSorry for my English but I waste time and money when simply I could order wheels with tyres(2days of work plus paying another garage for wheel alignment and rebalancing)Sorry forget to add when the do wheel balance already 5 miles after all weights comes

Very unhappy about their services. Had my MOT done a week ago, failed, booked for parts to be renewed, confirmed and ordered parts a day before. Had my van at the shop first thing in the morning as I?ve been told to do by them, left my van there. After 30 min phoned me to pick up the van because they can?t do the works. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The manager ?JAY? was rude and unprofessional especially when I told him I?m going to file complaints and leave reviews.I would strongly recommend not to attend this garage in particular. I?ve been doing all my MOTs and services with Halfords, but after this experience I will never walk in their shop again.

Please avoid!!!I will start by saying that I won?t fault the wide range of tyres that were available on the website for my car.However the staff working in this garage were extremely unprofessional during my visit on Saturday.When I booked to have all for tyres changed + plus alignment, it stated that the works would take around 2 hours.When I arrived, there was no confirmation from the staff about the works due to be carried out.I asked how long the works would take. The reply was ? I can?t give you that information I?ll call you when is ready.This garage closes at 5pm on Saturdays. It was already 4:20 and I had not received any calls or emails.I have an insurance tracker in my car which said the car had been parked outside the garage from 2:15pm. I decided to go and collect my car.When I arrived the car was parked outside and the tyres covered in dirt. I even thought some of it were scratches.I went to reception to collect the keys and asked why I never received a phone call. The desk was unattended for 5 min. When I asked their reply was ? the mechanic has been busy all day working. I wasn?t told the car was ready for collection?Next time I will stick to Kwik fit.

I went to Halfords Auto Centre in Catford I met a gentleman called Curtis . He?s absolutely amazing, skilled and very professional.Curtis is one of those staff who will break his neck to make a client happy . He thinks out of the box . He goes extra miles . AVOID AT ALL COSTSI had my car MOT'd and serviced here, they asked if I wanted them to do an optional bit of work (that would become compulsory at next service if not done now), which I agreed to. Whilst doing this bit of work one of their engineers cracked a spark plug, which then fell down into the engine. I only found out about this at 5.50pm after I chased them to find out when the car would be ready (it was dropped off first thing). They told me they would be keeping the car until they could find the spark plug that had dropped into the engine, which ended up with us being without the car for three days while they had to call in a specialist to check it all out. During this time I received very little communication from Jay, the service manager, I had to call him to chase constantly, was constantly being told he would call me back which he didn't - I appreciate it must be a busy environment, but would have thought that given it was their error that inconvenienced us that they would have at least called me back to update me when they said they would. At no point did they take responsibility for cracking the spark plug, claiming that Ford must have screwed it on too tight when the car initially came off the line 9 years ago, (!) even though presumably a spark plug wouldn't just crack unless someone was applying quite a bit of force to it (which I have since been told by an independent garage is definitely the case). After much chasing on my part, we went to collect the car and asked to not pay for the extra work, given they had made an error, cracked the plug, lost the plug, left us without a car for three days and with no communication. We were offered a minimal discount and told by Jay - if you can believe it - that really THEY should be charging US as they had to get a specialist out to fix the problem that they had caused, and the specialist had cost them. This I find absolutely ludicrous - that they would not only deny fault, but try and charge us to fix a mistake they had made!! To sum up - bad service, horrendously bad communication and a team that really do not care for their customers, or the customers vehicles. I wish no one else the misfortune of having their car serviced or MOT'd there - please do avoid at all costs for your own sake!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Ask for Andy!! Booked a free tyre check, arrived 5 mins late and man on reception was really friendly. I asked if they would be able to replace a tyre, if they identified the need to, at the same time after the check, even though they said they didn?t have space he went out of his way to see if it might be possible to squeeze me in, which they said they could!I was helped out by a man named Andy for the tyre check, who was absolutely wonderful. I have very little knowledge about tyres, despite much online reading, Andy offered brilliant advice and took the time to explain and show me what to look out for, very honest and genuinely helpful. Tyres were absolutely fine?but Andy still went out of his way to fill tyres to check correct pressure.I asked about MOTs and he then explained how I could get a discount on my first one through joining their free motoring club. Given my limited knowledge it would have been easy to take advantage but instead Andy was honest and kind. I will definitely be using going forward, hugely appreciated the help and service received. Thank you!

Service levels are absolutely atrocious. Don't be fooled by the fake smiles and fake promises. Our locknut key was lost by someone in the workshop, and try as I might to get a refund for a brand new set of locknuts for all 4 tyres, I cannot get a simple refund. It's been over 3 months, and every call and email just falls on deaf unapologetic ears. I now have a mission to activally avoid every branch and brand of Halford, and will go out of my way to tell anyone interested not to go anywhere near Halfords. If I made my clients feel just 10% of how Halfords makes me feel, I would have been fired several times over. Terrible customer service. Avoid like the plague. Angry face!!

I called up and asked if they had appointment times for checking my tyres for a slow puncture, they told me to come down when I can. I arrived 10 mins later. I got asked to drive my car into the entrance of the garage where someone had a little feel of my tyres and then sprayed some water on one half of one tyre. No professional removal or examination of my tyres at all. I get taken to the front desk where he quotes me £70 for one tyre. I mention, just in case it?s important (I?m a new driver so haven?t been through this process before) that I have slightly lower profile tyres. This jumps the price up to £170, still for 1! The manager is nearby and had seen him check my tyres with the car still on the ground and he asks the man quoting me if he checked for other things and if he lifted the car and check all around and on the inside. The man helping me replies no and then gets told ?You cant check a tyre like that?. Long story short I took the quote on paper, went to KwickFit and got both my tyres replaced for £150. Oh also, the tyre he quoted me on (the £170 one) wouldn?t have even fit on my car because it?s for Audis and Mercedes etc and I have a 2016 Peugot 208 :/

People have every right to wait for their car whilst works are carried out. Shouldn?t be told that it puts the technicians under pressure, if they are good at their job this wouldn?t be an issue at all. I?m pretty sure working under pressure was part of the job spec. Also every time I give car in, it comes back with so much tough black garage dirt on the steering wheel, door cards, floor mat, driver seat, gear stick, handbrake lever and door sills. You would expect to get your car back in the same condition. Cars should be treated with respect, seat covers and gloves should really be essential as it wastes owners time and ruins interior cleanliness maintained by owners. If this isn?t possible then it should be returned back in same condition after cleaning. Jay is a good lad, Ella can be nice, but her attitude switches from time to time. It would be good to maintain a consistent friendly manner and not just choose when to be friendly and to who.

AVOID! A BUNCH OF COWBOYS WORK HERE.They take your money and they don't do the job.I've just been there today. I paid for headlights alignment. Online it didn't state it was a right hand side only. I had to pay twice to get the left side done as well. To be told that they were complete. I just got home and checked it on a reflective wall and they are still way out. The guy who served me was doppy af and couldn't be bothered to do his job. I would like a refund, considering nothing has been bloody done. But, on the paper work it states that, it's been done/completed ? NOT HAPPY!Why employ people who can't be bothered to work?I've always had problems with this autocentre.
