The bank looks really shabby inside with these printed ?how can I help you? signs stuck to plinths where scruffy staff stand waiting to assist you. There is no order, just a swarm of people waiting for assistance. I appreciated the help from the counter services staff who gave my money discreetly. I don?t say the amount I want aloud I always write it down only as some people follow you out of the bank to mug you even for pittance you can be mugged these days so she gets five stars but the overall experience is 3 stars. Very poor and I?m wondering if it?s time to move my banking.

Avoid HSBC if you can.In branch it takes 40minutes to get anything done - even if you make an appointment (which for whatever reason you can't do online or by phone, you need to come into branch to schedule an appointment which is especially inconvenient as they are only open during working hours and may not be nearby).HSBC on every metric I can find is worse than other banks. Bad customer service ratings. Poor app and website needing you to come into the branch for most things. Low savings interest rate. Even on their own leaflet in branch they show poor ratings in all departments

There is a reason why HSBC has some of the worse scores compared to all of their competition. Systems are not up today compared to all of the other banks I've used. Just a big slow machine. Do yourself a favour and bank somewhere else.
