Oasis is a home from home for me - an amazing community action driven church that is inclusive affirming and also super practical in application of theology...The worship is modern and great, the people super welcoming and friendly and cannot do enough to make you feel at home..Many events and socials means you are never lonely in a big city like London...There are many opportunities to help and be helped...Highly recommend visiting here on a Sunday...

Beautiful church!

My first visit to this church left me with a few points to ponder. So from top to bottom... the welcome was good by individuals but a warm welcome by the welcome team would have been better. The church is conveniently located directly opposite Lambeth North Underground Station, within walking distance of Westminster Bridge, Waterloo and Elephant Castle with plenty of buses from every direction. Attached to the church is a quaint little cafe and book shop, great for a quick nibble and drink before and after service. The service itself is quite different than I am used to but in line with the good book (except halloween party). The congregation consists of a wide range & diverse mix of people, age and nationalities. The services are very upbeat, modern, new age, accompanied by a in-house band very much Hillsong style and free flowing. The main hall is comfy and spacious with quite a large stage with two massive display monitors for power-point and sing-along lyrics. After service: I had the opportunity to casually mingle with a few others. The overall atmosphere was very warm & polite. Towards the end, people approached to welcome me (later), which made me feel a bit more included. Note: This is not a traditional church but more community focused, working with the local foodbank, disadvantaged youth and charity projects with a wide range of topics, venues, events and discussions to suit most attending.

One star purely for ignoring me on a messenger platform after clearly being read , a few times (me not rude or abusive) even after saying I felt hurt about no reply ...nothing....Also have concerns that this church was seen to be having a Halloween party last year.Is Jesus the cornerstone of this church?? or are people more concerned with how good the coffee and bagels were and weather the toilets were accessible enough?I would go along to a meeting to give them the benefit of the doubt but I don't have a good feeling so far and they haven't shown me the love I'd expect from a church that professes to know and walk with the loving God..but make your own mind up.

This was a lovely church. It was easy to find. We arrived at the nearest underground station from our hotel and the church was visible as we exited the station. The day we visited it was raining but the coffee shop was open and we enjoyed a cappuccino and peppermint tea sitting in the warm. The service which began about twenty minutes after we arrived was welcoming and accessible. Drinks were served after the service.
