Love Asian food? Look no further than Wagamama. Reasonably priced, this Asian food Mecca has it all - fresh, eye-pleasing and tasty Asian food, fast service and an overall fantastic experience. Although Wagamama has various London branches, Bankside (which seems fairly new) is my go-to branch. Get there before the evening frenzy, take a window table and catch some sunny spells as you admire the architecture outside and the open kitchen action inside. Now treat yourself to dome art at the neighbouring Tate for desert :)

It's a Wagamama... You either like it or not. Same menu, same interior , same shared benches, same quick service. Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about.

We were meet a the door and quickly seated; but then nothing happened just as we were going to leave I managed to flag someone down to take our order. Everyone knows they don't try to get food out together but it's still a bit irritating to have 10 minute gaps between meals arriving and getting the starters last but I can live with that. Waiting around to order, not getting everything ordered and having to wave people down down to get any service is annoying.

Had to drink the entire groups water to finish the chilli ramen with the sirloin steak. Would recommend. A great place to have an evening meal.

This restaurant is very busy so it is advisable to book in advance. The service is mixed, some of the wait staff are friendly some are just there to get the job done. I go to Wagamama often because the food is good (not amazing). I enjoy the quick service and the fresh juices.
Yesterday I ordered the following...
Mixed Mushrooms + Panko Aubergine Hirata Steamed Buns - Two small, fluffy asian buns served with coriander and mayonnaise.
Mushroom and Vegetable Yaki Soba - Soba noodles with egg, peppers,
beansprouts, white and spring onions.
Garnished with fried shallots, pickled
ginger and sesame seeds.
The steamed buns are my favourite dish at this restaurant, very tasty (but a touch too salty). The Yaki Soba noodles were okay but lacked flavour, thank the Lord for the bottles of soy sauce on the table and the ginger garnish that comes with the dish. The serving size of the main dish was very generous.
