I usually like this place however the experience we had yesterday was very poor. The security guard seemed to have singled us out for no apparent reason. Asked us where we were from (relevant when deciding if to allow people in?) Then went on to pester us on two further occasions. I sought out the manager and he was understanding.... read full comment

A gem of a pub located in the heart of Bethnal Green. Real ales and many other draft options. Food is tasty and good variety. The atmosphere inside and outside is exactly what I look for in a pub. The patio seating is beautiful at night.

The ambiance is nice. Drinks are very expensive which is fine, but the number of cocktail options are less.
Known to locals as the BGT, the Bethnal Green Tavern is a friendly pub serving a rotational menu of the best craft beers from the UK and around the World, a seasonal British food menu inspired by all things nostalgic, and some of the tastiest Sunday roasts around. A large garden with heaters out the back provides the perfect place to sup a beer, enjoy a cocktail with friends, or chat with our friendly and knowledgeable staff. All are welcome.
