After 43 years of shopping and probably spending £1000's in this store, they will finally be losing my custom. Since turning into an Express, it has very little in the way of choice and has become more expensive. I can no longer by loose vegetables as everything comes in packs and as a single person, I do not want large packs of items. It no longer sells 1k boxes of uncle Ben's rice which I bought regularly but, has huge sacks of rice which I assume caters to the Asian community. I've watched this store go steadily down hill over the years but this is the worst its ever been. Bye, bye Tesco, I will now be shopping at the large Sainsbury in Cambridge heath road.

A great Tesco store located within Bethnal Green on a busy road. Main benefits are slightly cheaper prices than smaller express shops, wider range of produce and more of it, quick buying and checkout process. The main highlight is the reduced section located in the fridge aisle. It always has amazing deals on meat, desserts and much more. Check it out if you love a deal?

Once again Tesco was of no help, I got there with time before closing (plenty of time to get what I needed) but the security pushed me away and they the staff just said 5 to 10 mins is not going to make any difference, even though I needed one item and knew in the store where it was.I could have been in and out way before their last customers were leaving. Why put your closing time and then not let people shop before that?! What a waste.

My favourite Tesco store in London.I?ve been shopping here for the last 10 years. And the store staff are very professional and friendly. My only problem is that lately! The shelves are almost bare ! The choice of products has drastically been reduced! And prices increased! I?m now considering ordering online because of lack of choice in store! Is this a deliberate move by Tesco ? Any way I can?t afford to pay the higher prices in the store !I have no choice but to shop online.A big shame really because I enjoyed the afternoon out checking new items to try

Decent branch of Tesco, with more professional staff and variety of goods than I expected.

UPDATE: I came again on a Saturday (May 2023) and even though the printer was still working, customer service wasn?t taking parcels. They told me to come back on Monday and ~maybe~ they would be able to. Luckily there?s a locker just outside of the store in the sidewalk that worked for me. Just had to scan the label bar code and put inside.\\n\\nThere?s a working Evri printer!!!!! March 2023.\\n\\nThese are so hard to find, I went to all Tesco Express stores in the neighbourhood and they are all out of service.\\n\\nMachine is behind the self service cashiers near the wall. After you print your label, take it to the customer service area on the corner.

I don't know why it is necessary to pay items by clubcard when you wanna use self - service machine. The company will lost a lot of customers that are just traveling.

Very expensive supermarket. No cash payments at checkout. It used to be better as Tesco Metro.

If you?re a local you will notice there are the same staff there most days but so many faces have left or been made redundant. A friend of mine who worked there recently said they are cutting staff left & right. So maybe these complaints and reviews can be a little justified by the fact that the staff are doing their best with what they have.

A super cold store with a very chaotic time schedule. One cannot know what to expect, but definitely not 24 (people say it doesn?t work in the night) / 7 (weekends closes early)

Worst supermarket I have ever been to. Shelves are often empty, it?s always super cold inside, staff is rude, there is always a queue for self check outs, and yet half of these are closed. It?s called ?Express? even though it?s big, probably just to charge more for everything. It?s very expensive so better off going to the big Sainsburys down in Whitechapel, you can easily save 15-20% on your shopping, which is quite significant in this current climate. Shame this Tesco is the only one large supermarket in the Bethnal Green area. Wish it was an Aldi or Asda, or anything else to be honest.

Chocolate croissants are individually £1 so if you buy 2 in a paper bag, they cost £2. However if you buy 2 chocolate croissants in an environmentally damaging plastic box, it only cost £1.55. Why would it cost less when using more packaging that costs money to buy. This tesco pricing doesn?t make sense and damaging the environment with plastic packaging
