The gardens are lovely this time of year. A serene and beautiful landscaped environment for leisurely walks and moments of tranquility. While I didn't actually visit the house, I enjoyed the gallery. However, a really standout highlight for me was the educational owl display. Having the opportunity to hold an Eagle Owl was both thrilling and enlightening. A unique, hands-on experience with these magnificent birds. The knowledgeable staff and well-maintained grounds make Hall Place a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and families looking for an engaging day out. Highly recommended for a memorable encounter with nature and wildlife!

Hall Place is quite beautiful. The grounds are an oasis of peace while the A2 traffic busily hums pass nearby. Guided tours of the grand house are available or you can simply buy a ticket and wander round by yourself. The Visitor's Centre, overlooking the river, offers a varied menu to suit all tastes plus all the usual facilities. Ducks and geese compete for attention. The large car park is free. It is well worth a visit.

I was disappointed that the rose garden and herbaceous beds have been removed. Surely there must be a volunteer group who would like to maintain these, rather than get rid of them completely?

Very noisy next to main road / motorway. Not much to see. You can't even hear birds or anything. There are much better places around.

Hall Place is a wonderful place to go for a trip out. I have visited with family and friends and its lovely to wonder about the garden. I found it fairly easy to navigate with a pushchair too. The house itself has interesting history and beautiful to visit. We particularly love visiting on farmers market days, which have great local suppliers.Restrooms: Toilets inside the stables area with cafe and gallery. Clean and functional.
