I am not sure this is the correct photoof the HSBC branch I was in touch that I wish to review - a very bad experience for me, I am Italian and live in Italy not in London. Dr Allen Trias is my "contact person" that I do not wish anyone to meet or conduct any business. My long story dates 28 February 2023.I had invested into Crypto currency through the Trading online 212, London an "important" sum. For a series of bad circumstances (scam towards me?) my capital was sent to HSBC Plc, Strand around June this year and my Trading 212 lost the control of it.To conclude: Dr Allen Trias asked me to pay a lot of bail bonds, according to the British Laws he said. Can you only imagine I transferred to him/the bank for that ~ ? 55.000,00 ? He promised to pay me back: Capital & bail bonds but did not do so far. For 5 times he engaged himself to keep the payment date/s: 31 July,21 August, 4 September, 4 October and today 1 November 2023.How would you judge someone having this behaviour?Of course I reported Dr Allen Trias and Mr Mart.Olesk for the HSBC Bank Plc in London to the ItalianPostal Police and Italian Authority for: Theft, Fraud and Scam. However my action will not get me to recover my capital.I contacted a local Lawyer too.Thi is the reason why I am reviewing these people on all the websites, internet platforms etc. I know.Annamaria L.Italy

Awful customer service. The lady at the till (which apparently appears in many 1 star reviews) treated me with the rudest attitude for no reasons.I think that this is related purely to the fact that I am a ?foreigner? and I am describing this lightly. You should be ashamed of your attitude.Edit: yes, by checking other reviews it must be the same lady at the counter which seems to be a common trend related to the bad customer service experiences that people are getting at this branch.

All staff members of Bromley branch of HSBC are kindly ready to help with any questions. Usually maintenance is fast. Would be fair to mention Dorna Pleant, who quickly and efficiently helped me in my questions. She also told me about a bonus savings account with a decent increase of money. I am very comfortable and happy with this branch of HSBC!

Unhelpful and having no idea of customer services nor can-do attitudes. As other reviews said, they are better at telling what they cannot do. Don?t see justification for their existence.

The most unpleasant banking experience I've had in a while. A handful of visitors in the lobby made the service collapse. No obvious queuing system, people just standing around (as not enough sitting) glancing hatefully at those being served. Bank attendants pacing in-between visitors evidently annoyed at them. To top it off, after some awkward wait we were told that the product widely advertised online was "under review" which in human speech means "take your money elsewhere". Luckily, a NatWest branch around the corner was much more organised and welcoming, despite being as busy.

Slow incompetent staff, left waiting ages. Then a simple process took what felt like forever. Repeat payment usually done in other branches in 2mins.

Extremely poor service. Had to travel for about 30 minutes to get here as the nearest branches were recently closed.Today, was the second day. We went there to open accounts for my kids. I don?t bank with HSBC but felt their kids? account is good. The first day we went there, was during February half term. We were made to wait for about 30 minutes only to be told they don?t do kids? accounts in the afternoons. They gave us some forms and asked us to complete them and come on one of the mornings. As we cannot go on school days and on Saturdays the branch is closed, we had to wait till the Easter break. So, we went today with the kids only to be told they don?t offer kids? accounts to non HSBC account holders? kids! This wasn?t mentioned anywhere on the HSBC website. I believe this is something the Bromley branch has decided.Shows how much HSBC appreciates the future generation. On two occasions, HSBC showed my kids how insignificant the bank thinks they are. The kids were looking forward to opening the accounts and were very excited , but now they feel very deflated. What happened to customer care? It seems customer care is non existent as the person who dealt with us on both occasions deemed it unnecessary to even offer an apology. Not to me, but at least to the kids , so they would have felt that they were treated with some decency.

Abrupt and abrasive staff on the door, 95% the time just to tell you "we can't help you, it's all moved online".Pointless waste of time.

First time I've used a branch in quite a while. Caroline, formerly of the now closed Beckenham branch, was a star. Showed me how to navigate the machines I'd not used before and also explained the relationship between HSBC and the Post Office, as I didn't know that HSBC customers can now pay in at PO branches.

Please close all the branches of HSBC. I don't see any point in HSBC branches, where the staff unhelpful, why don't they say what they can do instead of what they can't do. I was interrogated before even getting to the counter, I was told rules that are not written anywhere and interrupted by another member of staff whilst another was speaking to me. If you are not going to help people please do not bother, as I am able to get more help from an app, chatbot or telephone banking service.

Last Friday I visited this branch and was very pleased with the level of service. My request was not the easiest one, because my parents just moved from Ukraine and had a limited amount of documents. But one of the HSBC managers, Rebecca Wright did almost the impossible. She spent almost two hours with us helping my parents to go through the difficult process of submitting the forms and explaining the details and so just 2 working days after that my father got his HSBC card and now can apply for NHS and Pension.Thank you to HSBC and Rebecca Wright for her help!

Update: Dec 29th 2022I went into the bank at 4:15pm to deposit cash into my First Direct account and was told that the cashier desks close at 4pm, but the branch is advertised to close at 4:30PM. Surely, everything needs to close at that time unless you state otherwise. But where does it say your tills close at 4pm, nowhere on the website or elsewhere! So how would i know? Customer service is now a joke to HSBC given they have closed so many branches in London. The solution I was given was to go to the Post Office!!! Why would I want to when this is my bank!! Absolutely a joke of a bank now. I will be moving my banking and business banking away from HSBC. It is now a joke and obviously has no regard for its customers at all!!!Feb 2022I hardly ever use a bank physically but everytime i come in here there's always a problem. Cashier desks hardly open in the afternoons and close when they want. As a First Direct customer HSBC is a major let down because their machines do not accept the new HSBC Mastercards still after over a year. Can't deposit cheques if there are no staff. This bank goes from worse to even worse. On top of closing branches you have to contend with no staff in actual open branches. Complete joke of a bank now! AVOID HSBC IMO

They have the best service amongst all the branches here in Kent so far. Their manager was very hands-on, considering it was a Saturday and the branch was very busy. Me and husband were being dealt by a very helpful staff which I?ve forgotten his name. Kudos to their team!

The front of the house leaves much to be desired. Popped to Halifax today to update my name on the bank account and got immediately served.Walked in with the same request to HSBC and was told that they only had 10 minutes before the closing time and needed to schedule an appointment in a week time to look into this. Now?the lady at the front reluctantly pulled her registry book after I asked several times for that sacred appointment and was quite abrupt throughout our interaction.Frankly, there are many banks out there with a more accommodating customer service in place. HSBC is losing the plot imho.
