Firstly, the staff lack warmth and friendliness. I was there for an appointment for my 6yr old. Staff clearly lack experience in how to speak to kids and manage a childs appointment. Secondly, we left without completing the eye test, as our appointment was at 1.35pm. We waited 15min for the pre-test, and was then told to wait to be seen for the eye test, had I not asked they wouldn't have told me that the wait would be another 20min. Whats the point in booking an appointment if you cant be bothered to see your customers on time! I booked at 1.35pm for a reason, I dont expect to be seen at 2.10pm. If you have such a delay then tell customers as soon as they walk in, so they can decide there and then if they want to wait or if they want to reschedule. No consideration for people's time at all. Won't be going back!

This 5* is solely for Chloe the manager. I can not recommend her enough. After a bad experience with 2 other people who didn?t listen or follow through with what they said they would do, she went above and beyond for me. I will be returning just for her care and attention.

New frames, don't have nose grips. Because of this my frames slip out of alignment without me noticing, this movement causing problems with my sight, I cannot focus properly, reading makes my eyes water when trying to read a book out of focus. When frames are pushed back up and held in place vision is much better.I have used verifocal lense for many years, the same happens with old frames when they slip, I cannot see clearly.

Very good eye tests by skilled staff. Very Very busy- always.Sanctuary downstairs, much more peaceful.

Generally good service with appointments on time. Never purchase glasses here though as Glasses Direct is much better value.

No information about when order is ready. Phone calls go into voice mail. On personally going and enquiring the order was ready but asked to wait for 1 hour to fit into existing frame. After 2 hrs only to be informed that it would take another 30 mins .I believe that after paying in full during ordering to the extent of hundreds of pounds the service is deplorable.

I had an appointment for an eye test at 9am on 10/11/23. I arrived on time (the colleague at the front of the store opened the door for me and asked me to sit in the waiting area and told me he would be there in a few minutes).At this point there were only 4 people in the shop including me waiting to be seen. And I was sat right in the middle of the corridor where plenty of colleagues were walking back and forth.At about 09:30 I noticed a guy (who arrived in the shop at the same time as me) be seen and then left shortly after.It then gets to 10am. Still waiting. Plenty of colleagues walking about placing clip boards of people?s information outside the pre screening room, which I was sat just outside of.A little while later a colleague says to a lady (who arrived about 15-20 minutes after me) ?you?ll be seen next?.I was given no acknowledgment at all. No one approached me.Once the time reached 10:48am - I walked out.This was an overdue appointment and I genuinely believe I was forgotten about. I?ll be booking an eye test in the new year but at a different place.Waste of my morning.

I am having problems with my new vari focal in that the transition from distance to intermediate is too abrupt and too high in the sightline so a glance down a few degrees but still at distance is a blurred focus. Never had this problem before. Specsavers are dealing with it and now trying new lenses but don't understand how a new pair of glasses can be so wrong and not as good as my current glasses. I've never had this problem before with Specsavers and always been happy, but something seems to have changed for the worse either in manufacture or specifications. I am hoping that this will be resolved but not confident at the moment.

This place is very nice! The people are lovely, and welcoming and come to you when you need help. Even when they are busy someone will come along when they are free. Their explanations are clear and concise. (Rohanna) One member of staff even helped with working out prices for glasses with me and my mother, to help clear things up! Very grateful.

Brilliant service, incredible value and marvellous for an NHS patient. I needed two pairs of glasses following a very efficient eye test appointment and both my frames and lenses for the first pair were given free of charge thanks to a voucher scheme. Friendly staff and a great layout in store to make your visit a pleasant experience.
