It?s a joke that a small, metal container outside the massive hospital is serving all patients and their prescriptions. Hours of waiting to get the medication, even though the hospital sent the prescription hours earlier. No consideration for the people waiting outside - sick, post-operation, pregnant and with newborns, in the cold, like in a really dark comedy. Get it sorted please!

Over an hour and still waiting. The queue for collection moves 15 minutes per person. Someone?s clearly not doing their job

I have been to this pharmacy on multiple occasions over the past few months for my wife, and on most occasions we were made to wait for hours for very simple prescriptions. I can see other patients, in various levels of sickness and discomfort being made to wait unreasonably long times. In our latest visit we were informed by the pharmacist that they will send a text when the medicine is ready for collecting. However when we received the text and came back to the pharmacy, we were told the medicine was still not ready and texts are sent by an automated system which does not work. This shows an utter disrespect for the patient and their time. And has been happening since a long time.I look forward to hear any explanation for why such a bad system and incompetence is allowed to continue?

Absolutely abysmal service. Whenever you have to get a prescription from there, you always have to queue forever, I?ve seen some poor people who obviously have serious health issue having to stand it a queue forever. That is not right. Why does Kings hospital not have a minimum level of service agreements in place with 3 rd party pharmacies to avoid this kind of issue is simply beyond me. Also if your GP will not prescribe bowel preps, you will need to make a special trip to the hospital to pick up the prescription. Why can?t they send them to the Beckenham beacon instead where there?s hardly any queue? Oh and don?t bother trying to call them either. The phone will ring where you get an infuriating message asking you to hold like they care, only to let it ring constantly with no one picking the phone up. In summary, utterly useless place.

I was lucky as it was a Saturday the last time I visited, but when it's busy, prepare for a long, long wait! It's a bit of a hike from the main hospital buildings, especially if you're suffering from mobility problems.

Horrible queues. Waiting time at least an our to get the prescription and then another hour to get the medication. Dreadful

After a couple of years without using this pharmacy, I went there today, and staff and security were friendly and professional but the system despite being terrible didn't improve at all . Now, you get a message to collect your meds but isn't accurate as when I went in to collect was no one at the counter. They called 3 ppl at same time despite being only one person serving. So I had to wait again. The facilities are completely not fir for purpose as you see inpatients from the hospital wearing robes, parents with babies , disable people waiting some outside in cold as the shipping container doesn't fit everyone . The ramp it's massive and awkward. Not even sure how it passed the H & S risk assessment. The staff are nice and cosy inside and patients and other clients are outside in terrible conditions. I didn't even ask if they have toilets for people that are waiting for ages . ..but wouldn't be surprised if they don't due to their careless and selfish approach to their clients. They can go away with it because the meds prescribed at Hospital can only be collected from them , otherwise if people could go somewhere else ,they would not have those conditions for sure. They are taking advantage of a necessity but hopefully things will change one day .

I was concerned about using this pharmacy given the reviews but actually had a good experience. Went in my lunch hour on Monday after A&E had told me on Sunday evening that they'd sent a prescription. Was unsure whether it would have arrived reliably but all was fine.I waited 5-10 minutes in a short queue outside to get to the counter and explain what I was expecting. The pharmacist found the record, I paid, and was told the estimated time was 15 minutes. I went off to get a coffee in the dental institute next door, after 20 minutes hadn't received a text message but decided to wander back, and the security guard confirmed it was ready. Picked it up after just a couple of minutes wait in the collection queue. All quite ordered, efficient and polite when I was there. Phew!

The staff are nice but only when they are around. The poor service is not their fault - there just aren?t enough of them when they are serving an entire hospital! When I was there today there was one poor security dude out front and none of the counter positions were in service. There did seem to be a manager who was more worried about the layout of the queue than the fact that there was a long queue at all.You will wait ages unless you get super lucky and you will find queueing chaos. Also the accessible ramp is a part of their queueing system so expect drama if you need to use it for actual accessibility reasons!

Oh, the drama. Takes aaageeesss if you get there at the wrong time. Better take a book with you. Staff service is good, don't get me wrong but this is a bad system. Feels like we live in a third world country. This to me doesnt feel like London. Waiting for hours sometimes, literally, just to get your medication. It's time to leave the country. Oh, I forgot. I am leaving.

My experience here wasn?t bad at all. Queue was organised and the system works if you?re patient. Security guys were really kind.

If you're looking for a stress free encounter with this pharmacy please visit during the weekend. It's the difference between a 3 minute visit and 3 hours. It is open 7 days a week.I have picked up prescription medication here multiple occasions and it has never been the staff who have been the problem with this place, at least not personally.Expect during the week days to be waiting outside in the cold for hours. there is an organised queue to let them know what your order is, they will give you a ticket and you should receive a text (which they send most of the times); but there is no organised queue to collect your medicine. It's survival of whoever is at the front of the blob of people who huddle at the front steps hoping the security guard will grace them with an audience. Pregnant people, the elderly and the disabled have little to no accommodation, there are a few benches but you will give up your position in the blob. This is all because they only let 1 or 2 people in at a time due to Covid. It's a zombie apocalypse but with a bad queue system. Very unbritish.

Appalling queue management. Told prescription 15 mins and will send text. 2 hours later no text received so can?t get past security. When I do get in my prescription has been waiting but no text sent. Average waiting time for long queue appeared to be about an hour and not so much a queue as, understandably, an angry mob.
