I understand the frustration that arises from the length of waiting lists; I have been quoted 18 months to see a therapist, but the day to day care at Hook is still excellent. This morning I completed an online form at 7.00 am and I was talking to a GP in the surgery at 9.30 am. What is not to like about that.

Hook surgery staff are outstanding, Mel B on reception has been such a support to me while my daughter was unwell recently and is so patient and caring and Dr Lau has been great. All the team are super supportive and always busy as I am sure all GPs are but make time to put you at ease and help you find the appropriate healthcare. Really cannot recommend enough.

I honestly think Hook Surgery is brilliant. They are so accommodating, every time I call or complete a econsult for my son, my partner or myself we are seen or spoken to extremely quickly. The GPs we seen are always great and the care we receive is excellent, the pharmacists also are so lovely. The nurses are fantastic, I was treated for a burn recently and the nurse I saw was thorough, caring and so kind , I felt she went above and beyond for me and saw me until my burn had healed. I also want to say a huge thanks to the receptionists at hook surgery, they are so kind, always answer the phone with a smile, they are friendly/professional and always make me feel at ease and welcome when I call. Honestly couldn?t rate this surgery enough. Thank you!

I used the online service to provide medical support for my elderly mother. This was the first time I?d used this particular service. The whole process was slick & easy. We were able to establish contact with a GP, receive a diagnosis & also medication all within 2-1/2 hours. This was much easier than booking a GP appointment via the normal 8am telephone method. I understood from the GP this online process also offered them more flexibility and possibilities to be more efficient too.. thank you NHS

Filled out an e consult form and seen by a GP and prescribed antibiotics in less than an hour.

I telephoned the surgery this morning, they were busy but my call was answered. The receptionist I spoke to was absolutely amazing ,I tried to explain why I was calling, but due to my circumstances I became upset. The receptionist was so kind and calming, I was able to explain, a telephone appointment was made for this afternoon.The doctor who telephoned was very kind and sympathetic, I did not feel in anyway rushed, she explained the options open to me.I am sorry I did not get either the doctor or receptionist name, but I really want to thank them both.It is my belief that if you are polite you will be treated in the same way. I have never had a problem with the receptionists at this surgery.

As a person with ongoing health problems and regular medication for both myself and youngest child. Hook GP have been brilliant over the 10years I have been with them. E consult has been an asset to the surgery and has helped me and my daughter in times of need. I would recommend this GP practice to anyone in the area and praise the GP's and nurses that work there. Very pleasant, efficient and friendly staff.

Unfortunately I have to say I am very disappointed with my GP. I was reassured that my referral was made. After waiting for months and having to call both the hospital and the gp myself and having my health condition worsen considerably, was I told my referral was rejected. For two weeks I had to speak to both the hospital and the GP only to be told conflicting information, before finally getting my referral but having to wait all over again. I feel doctors and receptionist were dismissive towards me and my conserns. I would advise an alternative practice for those looking for one.
